I will take it to the Apple Store and have one of their techs remove the screws from my old hard drive with one of those torx screw drivers that Apple seems to like so much, which they don't seem to carry at my friendly neighborhood Radio Shack. Once that's done, I can put that old hard drive in the case the new one came in, which will allow me to connect it to my Mac, delete a few videos on the old hard drive that I don't need, and move the archives on to that drive.

One of these days ...


Just listened to the John Keel interview ... not too bad! Just wish he had come on a few more times ...

Thanks! I am downloading the archive now ... my torrent client says it will take another 26 hours ... I'm going to have to buy a few more DVDs so I can get them off of my hard drive when it's done!

Wow, that was one heck of a find!


I will be recording that Tom Bearden appearance ... I actually met both him and Richard Hoagland at a conference they did up here in Seattle. I think I got both of their autographs. Unfortunately, I lost Richard's book, but I still have Tom Bearden's!



I don't suppose you could find John Keel's appearance with Art, could you? That would be awesome!

Well, that wasn't Richard Dolan that was doing that. He was just one of the folks that were invited to the event, without having actually seen anything beforehand.

I've listened to all of RCH's shows, except last night's show (28JUL15). It was a walk down memory lane with a gentleman whom I don't know or recognize from Richard's introduction.

After an hour or so, I gave up, stopped my recording, closed the player, and that was it.

Tonight's show, however, is much better. Tim Ventura was one of the folks they were making "lifters" back in the day, and he soon became the webmaster at Americanantigravity.com ... which means he and Richard are going to talk tech, and I find that stuff fascinating.

Arrrggghhh! Richard is putting me to sleep tonight ...

A few years back, I recall seeing an ad in "Writer's Digest" asking for people to write comedy bits for radio shows. It came with a tape to use as an example of what they were looking for, and there was documentation as well.

I can't approach the station Coast is on, of course, which leaves a lot of music-only stations, a couple all talk/NPR stations, and AM.

Hopefully they'll be watching the numbers this month and jump on board next month, but we'll see ...

It was actually pretty interesting. While it is true that most of his cases end the same way ("He's dead, Jim!"), I still find them compelling.

I do remember one case he talked about, where the kid involved came back, and told a tale involving a robotic copy of his grandmother that was trying to make him take a dump, to coin a phrase.

... so maybe it's not exactly Big foot.

Interestingly, one of the things I mentioned in that article on hurricanes was the possibility of the Coast audience creating a "thoughtform" around a specific area where weather modification was needed. Let me see if I can find that part ... here we go:


"Thoughtforms 'r' Us"


A thoughtform can be thought of as the psychic equivalent of a plugin: A field of  psychic energy that does one thing and does it well. That "one thing" could be anything -- from protecting your car from theft to protecting a loved one from harm.


Author Charles Cosimano, in his book "Psionics 101" described a method of producing a basic thoughtform to help you get a job. Mr. Cosimano's method consisted of visualizing a ball of energy (think "orb") hovering above the prospective employer's office the day (or earlier, if you like) before the interview. This energy ball's mission: Beam positive suggestions to your prospective employer about you -- such as, "Wow, that (Your Name) would make an excellent employee," "Wow, that Your Name sure was nice. S/he'd make a great addition to our company," etc.


... While the idea of a planet-wide thoughtform may not be exactly feasible, I suspect the mass subconscious of the Coast audience is doing just that, which may explain why some of the more dire predictions made by guests do not happen exactly as the guest predicts, if at all.


And then there's Art Bell's worry: the "fine print" problem. For those unfamiliar with this concept, this is why Art discontinued his experiments in this area: He was worried about unforeseen consequences ... where he'd ask for rain in a certain part of the world and deprive another part of much needed water.


P. E. I. Bonewits, author of the book, Real Magic has a theory about unforeseen consequences and acts of magic. He calls it "The Law of Perversity."


In his book Authentic Thaumaturgy, he wrote: "Magical associations sometime operate in the reverse of what was wanted; meaningful coincidences are just as likely to be unpleasant as they are to be helpful (especially if a lot of emotion goes into the related situations). Even if 'nothing can possibly go wrong,' some element of the universe may change so that things will go wrong anyway."


He continues, "This law is probably based on the use of countermagic by one's own subconscious mind, for whatever devious or even neurotic reasons it may have. My guess is that it also ties in with the Anti-Psi talents. This Law explains why some people's magic seem to work backwards."


So is Art right about those "unforeseen consequences?" Probably. All the more reasons to specify what you want to have happen -- or as Dr. Evelyn Paglini says, " You have to bind down what you don't want."

I've read most of the Facebook, Reddit and other Art Bell web communities. That is the impression I get.

A few minutes ago, I posted in one of the new Art Bell Facebook groups about some of the things (Redacted) has been doing over the past few weeks, and provided a link to the interview she did with Art, the John Bachelor interview, as well as a link to that billboard.


Hopefully, that will do some good ...

Maybe next time Art should try Google Talk for (Redacted). That way, when calls come in over Skype, she won't be lost when Art hangs up on the caller at the end of the call.

I had a bit of trouble at the beginning, so I missed the opening signature tune -- and I had someone ask to call me about half an hour before the show started. I was tempted to tell her that I'd have to go at 9:00, but didn't. Good thing I recorded it!

Looking forward to tomorrow's show -- and, of course, "The Other Side of Midnight" as well!
