Asia Janay Lavarello, was on a temporary assignment at the US Embassy in Manilla when she took classified documents from the embassy to her hotel room, according to court filings. She hosted a dinner party at her hotel on the day she removed the documents, March 20, 2020, and an embassy co-worker in attendance found the documents, which had classified markings on them, according to the court filings.
She was working on a thesis and had no nefarious intent. And went to prison.

The poetic irony is under drump, the sentence in prison for such a crime was increased from one to five years. Per charge.

I'll try not to "trigger" Albrecht. I know that this forum is supposed to act as a "safe space" for all.

Good to see that neither of us have given in to the chyneese bio weapons attacks as of yet. I'm off doing reccetec in Thailand right now. Stuff is still cheap over here but massage prices are up about 50% since 2019. Up to about $8 an hour in most places.

Gasoline is cheaper here than in Canada if you can believe it. About $1 a liter. Cheaper than most of the blue states. Not quite as low as Texas. It's probably Russkie crude.

Quote from: WOTR on August 28, 2022, 12:11:37 AMAll of this discussion, and not a single mention of canned oysters? The aphrodisiac shellfish. We commercially harvest these beautiful creatures who may otherwise be engaged in producing the raw materials for at least one kind of pearl necklace. And to what end? In order that men everywhere may procure legal date rape drugs.

This particular form of date rape drug is almost the exclusive domain of the middle aged (and older) white males. While we prosecute young, black, latino (sorry... LatinX) and even financially disadvantaged white youth for using GHB, we allow the old, white male to legally procure oysters that have often been harvested using slave labour (recognizing anybody working hourly is a wage slave.)

It is incomprehensible. I cannot believe that cities were burned over George Floyd- yet not a single pig has even been assaulted over this outrage.

Don't get @albrecht started about the Pig War.

Quote from: Radio Activity on August 12, 2022, 03:13:49 AMIt's true that possession of recreational drugs was decriminalized in Portugal many years ago, but buying and selling is still very illegal and will definitely get you in trouble. There are many "dealers" operating in the tourist areas but they all sell fake goods. You will not find real drugs on the street unless you know someone.

CBD shops sell flowers but with very low THC content. It is also possible to get a prescription for cannabis from your doctor and have it filled at any farmácia. ;)

I'm in Thailand. In June they legalized Cannabis. Not many shops open yet but people are able to grow their own. The Thailand government gave away a million plants in June.

Or the supplement pyramid schemes (allegedly) and not performing as well as the napkin drawing pitch seemed so cutting costs by less inflated egg eating? Or maybe the recent news items hitting close to home and some hosts, guests, management worried about an audit, knock on the door by some polite agents with some papers allowing them to look around and 'take some notes,' etc?
Beets me.

Quote from: albrecht on August 09, 2022, 03:20:42 PMThat was really weird and creepy. I recall at time that maybe it was going with how easy it might be to plant material on someone, or jurisdictional issues, but then he kept digging his hole deeper and about went on about how it should be legal. Strange stuff.
Hoagland's remarks were in defense of a federal employee or contractor that was arrested in a rather significant manner when a Blackhawk helicopter moved in with a team to the Sunspot Solar Observatory in September, 2018. Maybe it was too close to home. Downloaded using a government network onto a government computer if I remember correctly.

There were plenty of stories back then but looks like they scrubbed them from us news sites. But this is the incident

Lost a lot of respect for him over that. Lost the rest of it when he went on the Clyde Lewis show and defended the downloading of child pornography as a 1st amendment right.

Haven't listened to him since

She was bitching about the price of insulin. After two plus years of the left wearing "Pfzier Princess" jewelry and sucking big pharma's balls, could things be getting back to normal?

Didn't Joe Biden reverse an executive order on his first day in office that had capped the price of insulin at $35?

Quote from: Liberace! on July 27, 2022, 12:21:14 PMWhat is the Porch of Infamy?  Despite the "™️" giving me a good gut laugh, I don't know what it is.  Did you visit the cuckshed?
I did not visit the cuckshed. Aldous lives in California. I won't dox him but he's closer to the picnic tables at Donner's Pass than he is to Pahrump. I've been to Pahrump about a half dozen times but never visited the cuckshed. I did try to arrange a meetup with Art back in the day as a fellow USAF veteran but he wasn't interested.

The Porch of Infamy™️ is a powerful place. I'm not sure if it sits on the intersection of lay lines or what but magical things have happened there. I was saddened when Aldous had to relocate some time back. I'll always have fond memories of the porch.

We met for the first time there in late winter of 2018 and I made 3 or 4 pilgrimages out there before he moved. I haven't been to his new place yet. The last few years our tag ups have been in Arizona.

Who's idea was it to put a picnic area at Donner Pass anyway?  A little late if you ask me.

It was probably August, 2018. I was on my way to go hang out with Aldous. Took a redeye to Sacramento and got a motel room before heading uphill to spend some quality time on the Porch of Infamy™️

He might have had another reason but Laura told me he was pissed and said "Why would I want to go eat lunch with someone that called me a Limey Bastard?"  She took off work and picked me up at my motel and we had a nice lunch in Sacramento. She's a hoot. I enjoyed meeting up with her. I lost contact with her. I hope they are doing well.

I wonder if he ever tried getting his drivers license. He was still afraid to try driving on our side of the road when I met up with her. She worked at the dmv. She could have helped him pass the damn test.

Quote from: aldousburbank on July 24, 2022, 09:48:49 PMGood to see you active here Mr Lee. I imagine it's liberating to know you don't have to wipe this place's butt anymore. Finally you can enjoy this time of kicking back and watching your vaguely loveable offspring wreck shit and piss off the neighbors all on their own.

I'm also curious to know if Heather and I are still friends. I mean we haven't talked in a long while and I guess she got pissed at me for not responding readily to some text or something. But at the time I was too busy with my own drama to deal with anyone else's and it occurs to me now that I probably never responded to her last text, which basically accused me of being a bad friend. She maybe doesn't get that I'm too self absorbed, egomaniacal, and just plain stupid to actively dis anyone. Unless they give me good reason tho duh. My take is that she got so used to being trolled or whatever that she probably assumed I was like all you other peckerheads. Which I probably am. But not to her personally. I just can't take that kind of you're a shitty boyfriend talk from someone I'm not married to. It would be great if she called or wrote or something. I'd answer. I gots absolutely no issues with her. Hoping she reads this.

Holy crap that was a long answer to a simple question.

How's the Vendeveen organization doing and all the little downlines and associates? I missed your style. I miss Eddie Coyle.
She's probably standing on the Porch of Infamy™️ banging on the back door demanding to be let in. You should have told her you moved.

Maybe Trump should declare he’s now running for a Senate seat for 2022.  Imagine the hue and cry from an outraged DC establishment.  It would provide further entertainment until he then declares he’s going to run for the White House again, after becoming a senator.

Favorite scenario.

Runs for house representative in Florida. GOP wins majority in the house in 2022. Trump gets elected speaker of the house. The house impeaches Biden and Harris.  But not enough votes in the Senate to convict. Trump runs for reelection in 2024.  <Bam>

Well then. Time to keep cheering. It looks like "the coalition for a safer web" is now suing Apple to remove Telegram from their app store. I'm sure that Apple will mount a stunning and expensive defense... Or maybe they will just remove it. I'm guessing signal is next followed by TOR.

Now is the time to purge all of these uncomfortable opinions and all privacy. And if you disagree, I WILL report you to Justine and the ministry of love.

It's hilarious that we have now opened a floodgate where citizens can demand that apps be removed citing the removal of Parler. It sounds like they are also preparing a lawsuit against google for the same removal.

Want to know who is on the board of the coalition for a safer web? A former chairman of the republican national committee. A republican former us secretary of homeland security. And an VP of ABC news. Do you need any more proof that it is not "left vs. right?" It is the oligarchs and powerful vs. individualism. https://coalitionsw.org/advisory-board/

The SIOP, and whatever the plan is that replaced it after 9/11, has continually been updated/revised to provide for contingencies as a function of perceived threats.  A former boss of mine, a retired B-52 bombagator and ops planner, once told me things changed bigtime after the Yom Kippur war.  I can believe similar changes were made after the Iran hostage saga and 9/11.

Hypothetically, during the Iran hostage crisis, we certainly might have realized we didn’t have any pictures of a certain desert nation that had just purchased a squadron or two of our best fighter bomber aircraft with our absolute best fire control radar and air to air missiles. If we had satellites we certainly would have retasked them since U2 and SR-71 aircraft might have been at risk.

When I first got involved with the SIOP we got updates every 6 months. Carter changed it to 12 months under the guise of cost cutting. None of which was realistic. Not like the JCS laid people off.  Reagan made wholesale changes to the target priorities and hypothetically speaking may have created new options. But kept it at 12 months. I left that madness in 82 so I have no knowledge of the current state of affairs.

I read an article not too long ago about how the Iranians have kept the Tomcats flying with modifications including Russian supplied avionics/missiles because they used up their supply we sold them fighting Iraq.  It was pretty interesting. There is good reason why we destroyed all of out retired F-14s. There are a bunch of people in prison for selling spare parts.

This might be it:

Ha. He doesn't pay much attention but still kept on searching for a movie reference for MAD: went through all great ones Dr.Strangelove, Seven Days in May, etc but finally was able to recall "The Day After," which was a made-for-tv movie but was good and very controversial at the time.

What I meant was we and the Soviets never had an official "no first strike" policy at least back when. I recall Clinton did something later

https://www.armscontrol.org/act/1997-11/news/clinton-issues-new-guidelines-us-nuclear-weapons-doctrine

Hypothetically speaking there might have been a President after Jimmy Carter that might have had the JSTPS work up limited nuclear options which, hypothetically speaking would have made it very clear that it wasn’t a full out nuclear attack based on mutually assured destruction. Hypothetically speaking.
