We need to send Hoagie some 19.5 torsion field energy for health through a mass BRAAPING. Lets put our BRAAPS together on the count of 1,2,3....GO!

Hi, I don't get on to Bellgab much, but I'm a Club 19.5-er and a Time Traveler. Now that my credentials are known, I have a stupid question.

I keep hearing "braaps" on RCH's show. Uh...what's that mean?

I'm guessing that Richard says "perhaps" a lot but reduces it down to "braaps." That's all I got. ???

Thanks, Tom

Please don't mix everyone up with the stereotypes... I am an older middle age woman, (who still uses a primary aol email address - yes, that old and so resistant to change), but I really enjoyed Redacted, too, and look forward to hearing more of her with Art!

I'm a middle aged old man, but I still got a little jingle in my step, if you know what I mean.

The old lady remark was for the prudes that think Art has to be the Art from 1996.

He's not, and having Redacted with him every once in a while just shows that Art's still got a little jingle in his step, too.

So, I listened last night and here are my thoughts:

1) The sound was superb! The voices and the music were in hi-fi stereo with my Bluetooth headphones on.

2) Art listens and responds so well to the callers, as always.

3) The commercials were fun and on-point for the show. I must've missed the screaming lady ad. I'll listen for it tonight.

4) I fell asleep toward the third hour. But as a Time Traveller, I was happily surprised to see the show segmented into three separate, archived parts for me in the morning. YAY!

5) Okay, here's the elephant in the room--about Redacted. I liked her with Art and how she contributed to the conversation. I also like her voice, a lot, which I think is fucking sexy to listen to. So there, I've said it. If that bothers you bunch of uptight, stiff collar, old ladies then you can all just kiss my shiny metal ass.

6) Redacted... :-*

YAY! I GOT THROUGH!

Art and I talked for a bit, then he had another person calling from Mexico conference in, so the three of us had a threeway! He played some promos, some background music and some new promo announcements from his old announcer Ross.

Lawdy, lawdy, I've done gone to heaven!

Thank you Art for the nice conversation.

I'm calling in using the the 952callart number. I'm getting a static weird ringing sound most the time. Others times I get a busy signal.

I'll keep trying.

And...yes...I am dweeb.

Oh, bullshit. Where did I do that?

You may not have done so publicly, with real words, but, come on now, you thought it, privately, in your own head. Those thoughts were so strong that they quantumly manifested themselves, physically, in this life.

I know, I know, who am I, etc. etc.

I am the DAY-MAN, FIGHTER OF THE NIGHT-MAN...

What caused the fight, you ask? .... Me... And that my friends was a prime example of the fine art of trolling. Of course one has to understand, the tension between individuals and wait for an the correct opportunity and hope they'll bite. Seldom works but when it does, its magic.

1. Long ago MV, let it be known, what he thought of Bateman's read a Guest's book and then interview the Guest based on questions from the Book.  MV being a personality type Broadcaster fines Bateman's style lacking... ie tension between the two.

2. Both are, like the rest of us, Fans of Art, and it would be the chance of a life time for either of them to get a chance to be affiliated with Art. But neither can come out and announce openly their desire and risk becoming a fool like Jimmy Church, so they are forced into talking around the issue.
Sending signals that they are available. Mow lawn, picture of WABC studio etc.

3. There's more stuff, little signs of the tension between them. Of course, nothing at all wrong with that. It the human drama, conflict/competition like Art vs Dave etc.
But one day, Art, who always worked alone, picked Ms Redacted. And didn't give a mention to the two guys who really wanted a chance to be affiliated with him. The stage was now set, both had their dreams crushed. One played the, I'm so happy for you card, the other didn't. Brings us to today, stage set to settle the score and make points against each other over Ms Redacted, was she sighted by Bateman. The issues at hand is of no importance, if not about Ms Redacted today, it would of been something else.

4. The Troll, who has been laying traps all over the place, gets a hit on one today and battle is on between MV and Bateman.

5. MV and Bateman and the animals will now start trashing me. Or ignore the ramblings of a trouble soul. Mommy help me.

And that, folks, is the culmination statement of our modern, human civilization. Applause, and exit stage left....

I sent an email to the program director of a group of local stations (fm and am) WIOO here in South Central PA. I made it simple, just dropping Art's name, C2C, and Rowland's terrestrial affiliate info link.

Those stations seem to be the only independent ones in the area.

If they were smart, they'd check it out.

I just listened to the interview, and here my are thoughts:

1) George has got a pair for phoning in and taking questions
2) His info about offering Art a job on C2C was interesting, but I'm glad it didn't happen.
3) I agree with MV and George that some of the comments about him on the forum cross a line, especially those that wish him or his family harm. That stuff needs to be self-policed a lot better, at least.
4) I think it's time to be less concerned about how lame C2C is to us and become wholly thrilled at how great Art's new show will be.
5) Being aggravated by the inner-dealings between radio show hosts and how their corporate overlords treat them is a distant concern, for me at least.
5) it's better to be positive about what can and will be done then to dwell on what we perceive as sucky.

Then again, what do I know?

Right on. Forget Dave and his stupid antics.

Yeah, screw George and the stupid horse he rode in.

He's old news; the fork was put in, he was turned over, and he's done, done, done.

Art's riding into town, and he's bringing a whole new bunch of settlers with him.

Okay, I'm done mixing metaphors now.

When Georgie took over C2C I pretty much stopped listening.

Art, they're worried and they should be. Blanket as many mediums as you can, but do it on your terms. That's what has got them shaking.

You were the boss when it started and you'll be the boss until the end.

My $5 a month is waiting to be registered. So, please, just take my money and put on a good show.

Most excellent links.

Thanks.

I can't wait until July to hear Art's new show, so I've been listening to some of the replays on tunein.

I first discovered Art while working the night shift at Kinkos Portland, OR in 1994.

I remember, once, I went to look at a used Volvo  at someone's house during a Sunday mid-evening, and I was  thinking that I had to hurry because I didn't want to miss Dreamland. While at the Volvo house, the two guys who lived there told me that I had to leave soon because they didn't want to miss Dreamland. No kidding.

I did buy the Volvo.

Yep, you read it all right: Art, midnights, Kinkos, Portland, Dreamland, Volvo.

I haven't been the same since.

Art, if you read this post, please know that you've made a positive difference in my life. I can't speak for others, but for me, you are one cool dude. Thanks.

My Xmas Prayer:

Please Lord, don't let this thread die with a post of some guy swatting down a flying dick.

I miss the days of having pages to catch up on if I took a few days off.  I think I am going through withdrawal.

Oh well, life sucks and then you die.

Wait a minute. Are you saying that this is all there is? That this is as good as it gets?  :(

Maybe....maybe....maybe we can...
