Whew I finally read all 33 pages. I feel the anger and disappointment and I share a little of the hope and optimism. I feel dumb for getting burned by Art once again. All I can say is I hope he finds a way to get back on the air, he seemed to really be enjoying himself. I don't feel like I can be proud to call myself a loyal fan for 20 years, that version of Art is gone. It's all just an epic bummer.

sweet mother of christ
that's more disturbing than the
zapruder film clip

I remember watching this episode of The Amazing Race, it was either last year or the year before. You would think the watermelon took her head clear off but she was walking around talking just fine within minutes.

From Art's Facebook page this morning (this is why he is amazing)

QuoteJohn Hogue has decided to blast me on his Facebook page AFTER the show was over, saying among other things that I was unprofessional and did not let him respond to profound questions with profound and never ending answers. You also kept saying “read my book” again and again. Yes, I did try to move you along for the sake of our listener’s. If you felt slighted you could have sent me a private message or even called, perhaps a message here on Facebook because you are in my friends list, or responded on the spot since you were there on air, but no, none of that. Not my idea of professional but alright, since you went public I guess this is the correct
forum to respond in.

I am sorry you felt hurried John but my view is that if you want a Host who will introduce you and then take a nap I know you know where to find him, not my idea of professional, or perhaps your own show where you can profoundly drone on till the cows come home. I know when a Guest is so interesting that I should just keep my mouth shut and do many times. That was not one of those nights.

DM is real Radio and I have no intention of allowing it to be hijacked by Guest’s who are unwilling to have a dialog. If you want to make a speech please run for office.

I try very hard to be polite to my Guest’s but I also have a responsibility to my listener’s if required, and it was. Sorry your feelings were hurt.

I don't understand the people complimenting Mr. Wells' voice. Clearly he is obsessed with the affectation of his own voice. I have only listened to him a few times, but when he comes out of commercial he drops it super, almost painfully low. Once he gets to babbling his pitch fluctuates up and down and then goes to a more "normal" deep tone. It drives me nuts.

I was just thinking the same thing. That was what I loved the most back when Art was hosting "That other show" on Fridays. It would be much better then Dave's "Friday open lines." that is for blasted sure!

I couldn't agree more. I wonder though, if he is going to purposely try to not emulate "that other show" to prove a point and to have a fresh start. He did say he was doing unscreened open lines so you know that is going to be amazing. I personally can't get enough of the creepy and weird topics/guests.

The last two callers sound like they called in on a potato. Its annoying hearing callers cutting in and out.

I snarfed tea out of my nose, thank you for that  :D. Enjoying the show!

If the show doesn't have much music in it, then youtube will *probably* be a decent place to host it.. If I can get my hands on the mp3s then I can get them anywhere they need to go. youtube, torrent, filehosting, podcast, etc.

Long time lurker, first time poster  8)

I would love a torrent of Art's new show if it is available. I hope I am not misbehaving by asking for such a thing.
