It involves something he would never think of in a million Years, you all will love it.

Art

What would that be, Art? Him having a good show with top notch quality?

That was a hoot.

I liked the time when Art posted a photo of himself on Facebook with a clock in the background and Fort Rock tried to explain that the time (4:20) that the photograph was taken had a hidden meaning and that Art would be returning on the 20th of April and that all the illuminati take staged photos like that to convey hidden messages..

We all know what 420 really stands for...

Art, you've always said that you need to make a show your own. Go with The art Bell Show. Continuing with the Dark Matter title kind of leaves a sour taste of what happened back with Sirius/XM in your mouth.

Ok, this should keep you all busy. I have a question for all of you and it is what do you think the name of the
show should be? It can be anything from Dark Matter to The Art Bell show to New and Shiny Things. I am up
for ideas.

PLEASE don't not let this devolve into how to make my back better. Maybe there is no way to stop it like Roswells, I understand the way it happens, if it worked for me it will work for you type thinking.
Even I can't stand reading this stuff, thank you for the good intentions but let's talk about anything else.

Have I mentioned KNYE?

Premier advises Dave not to do this, as everyone would turn off their radio's!

Funny, because

There were no other shows on the air like his!

5. Money - #2 and #3 above require money. Odds are that Art has the startup capital to put the pieces together. But to sustain it for a reasonable amount of time, he will have to monetize the content in some way. It will have to be more than just 30sec spots for C.Crane radios. And any advertiser will demand #1 above to guarantee ad reach. If his show is to be "free", this is a big issue.

You forget, that this is a man who is like many other ham operators, who is willing to throw vast amounts of money into their hobby (including me.) This is a hobby for Art. I don't see this as being a big thing.

IS His no compete over in September???

Art has stated that he will "be back in July 2015."

I am assuming he signed the NC in July 2013, 2.5 months before he started DM.

If he thinks people like Richard C Hoagland and the Alien in the Freezer guy are interesting and current, maybe he shouldn't be

The other problem we run into, is that this isn't the 90's anymore. A lot of people are starting to keep their minds open about the paranormal and such where it isn't as big as it used to be.

My prediction, and this is assuming he puts his full effort into things and doesn't quit again:

He's going to start an online streaming show. He'll probably eventually enter into agreements for two bit stations to rebroadcast the show, thereby allowing him to maintain full control of HIS show (we know how Art likes to be a power monger, and I can't blame him.)

Do I believe he'll actually get to the point of being nationwide on terrestrial radio again? I'll say it, never.

Just because I love to make people think, and I will admit this wouldn't ever happen, I want people to consider this scenario:

Listening to SIT from 12-27-2001
Predictions show. "Art Bell will be offered a TV show."
Ding ding ding.  "Turned them all down."

Would be interesting if he were to have a TV show while his non compete runs out. Most shows these days last...you guessed it...2 years.

Question is, since the media is television, would this even be a good work around for a NC?

I knew the DMRN wouldn't have a lot of funding, but damn...I'd say that is one unique headquarters for the place...

If Dave were similar to Ed Wood, I could see some kind of admiration. But Dave shows nothing but contempt for the show, the subject matter, and intelligence. It is hard to find any likability in someone like him.

Listening to the SIT episodes, is seems like Art is having so much more fun, way more energy then I ever got to hear him with. I lost my virginity to Art Bell hosting C2C in September 2002 with GIS while I was searching for news on AM while starting overnight security a my first full time job as an 18 year old, got me hooked immediately. So I never got to experience Art that long before he retired.

Anyways, listening to SIT, I loved one open lines show where he is doing Truth or Trash, along with the "Fast Blast" open lines, seems like he had a great time then.

It's time for a meme of Dave and Tommy which says :

" Brain, brain. What is brain ? "

Other than in that car are Tommy and Dave ever seen together in a picture or at an event ?

You kinda beat me to the punch, in a way.

That would imply that any Dave fans would have a brain in the first place, which we know to be false.

There are certain Dave's I was and am fans of :

Davy Crockett
Dave of Wendy's fame
Super Dave Osborne

But quoth the raven :

" Never$noore ! "

But we are talking about the Dave. Not that I am bringing his name up in any good light whatsoever. One can be recognized in that way just as well in a negative light, and he has certainly earned that latter right.

If it's just SIT then that's fine but please pee into this cup so we can test for trace elements of Dave. Or would we need a stool sample for that?

Oh now, really?

I would have to say, any true fan of Art exhibits good and moral character in the quality of the host they choose to listen to. That being said, it is against all physical possibility that one can be a fan of both Art & Dave.

Don't make me get Falkie.

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been 2 months since my last confession...

I have subscribed to that particular thing, but, merely to listen to the SIT. After all, you never stop smoking/drinking cold turkey, Art can't expect us to just completely stop listening to him...right? Even old episodes of Art are better than nothing/Dave (which actually happens to be the same thing anyways, Dave=nothing.)

Ok, even though I think I know the answer here, I'll still ask. JC vs. George Noory. No, not JC calling in! JC hosting his own show! Which would you REALLY rather listen to for 4 hours?

"A satellite radio company delivering commercial-free music, sports, news, talk, entertainment, traffic and weather."

Haha, this is from your link Textor.  "Commercial-free"?  False advertising (pun intended).

It's badly worded, but its meant as, "Commercial-free music," with the other genres being a separate entity from the music, which basically says that anything goes on the other genres.

And that is true, their core channels of music that is exclusive to SiriusXM is commercial free. Channels like Margaritaville Radio are not SiriuxXM exclusive, and are not included in the "commercial-free music" genres.

Not that I agree with the wording of course.
