however -

Wells is the best thing to happen for Coast in eons.  In fact I gave up on that show 'til he came around. 
All the petty whining and moaning, holy crap, ornately detailing every grain of your disgust, be it for Wells, Noory, whomever. 
"He burped on air".  Are you kidding me?  Seriously?  That's make or break?
My guess is should Bell never have hosted in the first place, arrived and hosted today, you guys'd be "Who is this joker?  He's terrible, so full of himself, strays off topic constantly, and those terrible C. Crane ads.  Oh for the days of Mel's Hole", etc.
