I just posted a new "article" on my blog, Interpose Mission, where I discuss Mr. Richard C, Hoagland's (see his Facebook page for why I used a comma) "inaccutron" (Expat's term) experimental results. It is really really bad. Unfortunately, I want to avoid being called out for using Mr. Hoagland's graphics without permission, so I don't show his "results", although I do link to them. Any lawyer care to give me advice on whether I can reproduce without permission?  Oh well...

Thanks for the information, Expat... "the more you know"... I'm sure Richard E. Hoagland wouldn't want to be mistaken for the Hoagland we all know and (*cough, cough*) "love".

I thought the dick tax was the subscription fee to be part of the Enterprise Conference?! I have a theory on why Richard C, Hoagland insists on using the "C"... So his initials will have the first three consants in his first name... As in RiCHard.

Well, I think it's thoroughly incomprehensible... That's pretty obvious. Yet I think what he describes is basically a hypothesis with neither empirical confirmation nor a workable field theory which can make predictions. In the end, Hoagland waves his arms a little, then asserts that there's "something wonderful" about 19.5 degrees north/south on the planets in the solar system and with "rotation, rotation, rotation"... And he seems to think vibration is just a partial rotation. Huh?!

Astroguy, thanks for the wonderful new podcast. I listen to yours all the time and it was very interesting. It, in part, inspired me to do my latest blogpost on The Face on Mars, "The Face on Mars Farce".

I was hoping to post something on Richard C, Hoagland's (see his facebook fanpage for why I have the comma) HYPERDIMENSIONAL PHYSICS, but it was more involved than I thought... so I have my own insights into The Face...

Not gonna happen... Even Richard C. Hoagland agrees. There's something seriously wrong with that flooded US map... A lot of Oregon would be pretty well protected by the Cascades. And what would EVER cause such tsunami as would flood BOTH the East and West Coasts. LOL

Very interesting... And why doesn't Hoagland mention this sort of thing? Maybe it'll be a fallback position when we find out enough about the surface geology to discredit him even more: the good stuff is underground, he'll say incredulously.

Yes, you are right about why hyperinflation hasn't happened yet. Firms are sitting on the cash! That is not a hyperinflationary scenario. But what we'd need to believe for hyperinflation to be imminent is that the Fed won't rapidly withdraw funds when inflation expectations pick up. The central bank needs to facilitate in that way for hyperinflation to occur. I think it's very unlikely that all of the key actors would believe the Fed would sit on its hands as we picked up speed toward hyperinflation.

To me, they seem to be the same buildings, but the height of the photo is different.

I'm not sure why everyone is calling him Hoaxland, when he could be called Ho gland or maybe Hoagie land. Maybe less useful in talking about who he is and what he does, but the first may come closer for the comments about docking.

I don't think the hyperinflation scenario is at all likely. To get to that place, you'd need really irresponsible central banks. I vote for an extended depression, but I'm hoping that we are seeing the beginnings of a real recovery. I kinda doubt things will get much worse, just stay depressed longer.

Richard C. Hoagland is always very interesting to listen to. Sometimes he gets the science right and that's the best I think one can truthfully say about him, except just that his ideas are interesting (though not always original, as we see from his frequent references to sci-fi. I just wrote my first blog post about one of his claims (about Phobos) in my blog, which can be found at:
