C2C prides itself on being non-mainstream and alternative.  But if you really think about it, if Noory and Wells ruled the world they'd force everyone to convert to Christianity.  I have nothing against religion but more and more C2C is turning into a political right wing show; you can't deny this fact.  Bring back the scientists!

I'm a full time (most quarters) student who works security on weekends at night.  With 12 hour shifts and jack shit to do most the time, I listen to JBW on Saturday nights, though it's really hard to.  I usually don't listen to a show unless the preview summary interests me (it does most the time), but there are many times I turn off JBW midway through the show.  Last night's first guess was actually decent, I like what he had to say about the Federal Reserve system.  But the next guest, eh.... :-\.  I turned that shit off after the first segment.

The thing that rubs me the wrong way the most about JBW is that his political views show too clearly.  I have plenty of conservative friends but C2C shouldn't be a political show and a lot of the times with JBW it feels like I'm listening to a pundit.  When the guest says something that JBW perceives as [lets say] anti-Israel / Christianity he'll go off on huge tangent and basically hijack his own show/guest.  But you know it's Saturday nights and I believe they don't expect much with respect to ratings so JBW is free to spew whatever the fuck he wants.

I've noticed though, at least recently, that JBW has had some funnyass open lines callers.

I have to shake my head when listening to all of you whine about Well's programs. Aren't some of you among the same crowd that was pissing and moaning that the C2C format was getting boring, predictable and the same old shit over and again?

Not me.  I've been an on and off listener for years.  I recently got back into C2C about 8 months ago when I started working nights again.  But before that last time I listened for an extended period was when Art Bell was still doing weekends.  And before that, I listened during the period when Barbara Simpson was still a host.  John B has good insight at times, but as someone who's relatively new to him, as well as this forum, my opinion of him thus far is he's using his Saturday night time slot as a way to get his 'talking points' out.  George Knapp's shows >> John B's shows.  Notice how I said shows.  With Knapp its actually about the show, and not himself.  I really haven't listened to enough shows with Ian Punnett to form a definitive opinion of him, but from what I listened to (3-4 shows), he isn't bad at all.  Though I remember one show (around Christmas) he was being pretty rude to one guest; you could hear him wrapping / making presents during the interview LOL.

It seems like John B is handpicking guests that agree with his political and religious views of the world.  C2C shouldn't be a platform for furthering one's own agenda or personal beliefs.  That's what the rest of AM radio and 24/7 news channels are for.  The show should never be about the host, and I believe that's what Saturday night C2C is.  Plus John B needs to get George Noory's balls out of his mouth; his whole "ship's captain" schtick is annoying a fuck.

I have nothing against religion, but another thing that annoys me about both Wells and Noory (Noory does it more) is how they always ask "Does God exist?" (or some variant of that question) when the show's topic/guest have nothing to do with religion at all.  The guest will usually be someone in the scientific community.  I kind of get this feeling that Noory is at the point in his life where his mortality is being realized more and more every day and his religious views are waning so he needs constant confirmation that there will be an afterlife.  Again, I'm not bashing religion so please don't come at me all butthurt and thinking I'm an atheist because I'm not (not that there's anything wrong with that  8))

LOL that's hilarious...I guess I got to download the show's podcast now.  When Wells stated that Stan was a first time C2C guest my first thought was "man I wonder where Wells found this guy...."  Also he looks like the gay cop from Reno 911:

Well's second guest, Stan Johnson.  I literally turned off my radio after like 10 minutes in because he basically equated Islam's 12th Imam (Muslim's savior) with the Anti-Christ.  (I'm not Muslim btw).  Pretty ironic that on the C2C website his part of the show was called "Hidden Agendas."  Did anyone listen all the way through?  How bad was it?  (Specific details would be nice, would like a couple laughs  ;D)
