Then I wonder what the point of Art's message was? Why posted a time slot now? Just seems rather odd, I guess.

I just went to his direct FB page... it's on there.

I guess I'm confused...

Is Art stating he has or will soon be released early from his NC, or is he just stating the time of his show that won't air until after his NC expires in Sept. 2015?

Looks like another stream test tonight -- being promoted as "The Spec Sheet."

LMAO, the guy's website is no longer accessible b/c it's exceeded its monthly bandwidth allowance.  Nice... [EDIT: I tried again and his website worked... maybe it goes out at certain times depending on the amount of traffic at that moment?]

I heard some of the live portion last night, about a half hour into the show, and more of it this morning during the replay.

My B.S. meter was on high alert with how inept the guest came across. Art is a master at steering conversation... he knows how to slow down the pace so that the depth of the discussion can be properly built. This guy was still all over the map and came across as not having his story together. I don't buy into such UFO/alien bodies in the first place, but when the guest has his story straight, it's fun to just go along for the ride. This guy made that impossible.

I caught the most of Art's intro on Monday night, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something. He talked about his leaving in 2000 and how he came back in 2001.

Did he ever address why he left in 2003, or was his bad back indeed the actual reason?

Also... did he mention why after the Oct. 2010 Ghost to Ghost, he just suddenly disappeared? He was probably unhappy with Dave and the show long prior, so why all of a sudden after that Ghost to Ghost did he decide to call it quits...

Anyone remember this crock-pot fluffery. This is the first time I've read this since Art revealed on Facebook a few weeks ago that he knew nothing about George or had any role in him becoming the new C2C host in 2003.

"I picked out that theme and the thunder long ago. If I used it many would think I was a copycat, it's been that long..... I have a better idea. See you on the 16th"

I think a lot of the angst against you comes from the impression that you sometimes don't care... that you don't seem too interested in what your talking about. Of course not everyone will be equally interested in all topics. But some people are better at masking it then you are.

Also, you sometimes come across as if some of the C2C material or concepts are beneath you, with Open Lines being a prime example (which was magnified more so during last year's Ghost to Ghost broadcast).

Premiere Radio/Clear Channel is the problem. They are more then satisfied with Noory as long as the entire current C2C formula makes money. The moment ad revenue drops, Premiere Radio will drop Noory in a second and either replace him, or drop the show altogether and syndicate a different type of overnight show.

Clear Channel is the number one radio company in the US. They also are notorious for operating on the cheap, and having no to little regard for quality programming. If they can make the most amount of money by shilling a cheap product, then that is what they will do.

It sucks... but that is radio in 2012. Podcasting and other creative means by independent people is the next last hope for the foreseeable future.

If these snake oil sales people and various products they attempt to sell is making Premiere Radio/Clear Channel a ton of money, then nothing will ever, ever change. C2C is a poorly disguised infomercial. In the minds of those radio execs, their mindset is probably "I can't believe we are making money off those idiots who listen religiously!" They think they can throw any paranormal "uhhh spoofy!" or "uhhhh controversial!" type of crap and that the overnight pirates will eat it all up.

My guess is... Noory doesn't like the corporate influence that Premiere has instilled, but as long as he is making good coin, he will be a company man and do what he is told. All of the above... that HAS GOT to be the reason why Art Bell wants nothing to do with it.

A poster on one of the Facebook Art Bell groups wrote that on Wednesday, or Thursday's show, Noory made a snide comment about wishing they would accidentally mail him Art's checks.

I want to offer my thanks to the person(s) responsible for providing this awesome streaming option. I have the stream plugged into my Tuned In app on both my tablet and smart phone, allowing me to listen as I fall asleep at night, and while in the car.

I was young while Art was in his prime, so I unfortunately missed out on much of those shows. I got to listen to Dreamland here and there back in the day, and I've heard a few of Art's C2C shows in the late 1990's and sporadically during the early 2000's (between retirements). Unfortunately, the bulk of my C2C listening was with Noory, around 2006-2008. I didn't mind him all too much for the longest time, until I began to listen to Art's "Somewhere in Time" shows -- then I started to notice the small, but very significant differences.

Listening to so many older Art shows now, it is so obvious as to why Art was better suited for this role. I'll spare the details on how Art seems so much more genuine, asks better follow-up questions, etc. I suppose just for kicks, I ought to listen to a live C2C and give Noory a listen, just to experience how bad he really is, now that I'm more familiar with Art.

The announcement is so silly. Every Internet savvy person who listens to the show already knows to find the show at CoastToCoastAM.com. I've never once heard anyone reference GeorgeNoory.com (though I admit, I'm more of a casual listener, and even less so of late).

Such a post by Noory would suggest that there were enough people getting lost or confused when making the attempt to find the Coast to Coast website by typing in GeorgeNoory.com. I highly doubt that was happening.

Just another example of George's inflated ego at work here.

The only other explanation for such a post, and it is highly unlikely is that George purposely wants to make the GeorgeNoory.com a known name, in the event he leaves Coast or is leaving soon, and wants people to just easily go to that URL after he is no longer on the show. The day he leaves C2C, he redirects GeorgeNoory.com to his own personal webpage.

I think that is all he is doing.... is jerking the strings and watching the reaction.

Art may not be much interest in going back on the air, but he certainly enjoys the following he has. He loves to draw speculation about himself. Hard to fault him for that.
