Most of my communication is text and email. We don't even use the phone part of our phones that much.

Things probably would have gone more smoothly if you'd just stuck with SiriusXM until announcing the transition, though.

I do hope SiriusXM goes for it. I like OnDemand. I have to do a lot of time-shifting shows, and can rarely listen live.

I think most people here would have been much more magnanimous if this had come after a year, or even six months.

Six weeks is nothing to work out the inevitable technical and production problems that were going to come up.

Art got everyone excited, and a lot of long-time fans feel very hurt and betrayed. It's natural to lash out.

I'm not personally angry, only disappointed. But not too much. It always seemed to good to be true.

Art, I love you, man. But umpteen-times bitten, uh eleventy-times shy, or however it goes.

You whipped up this monster with years of teasing and hints about coming back. You made it.

Sack up and give SiriusXM some time -- or don't. But this is teenage-level melodrama.

It takes time to rebuild an audience when you have been gone so long. You won't get millions of calls and fans again overnight.

You can make excuses about streaming problems or lack of access, but they're just that in the end: excuses. It takes time and work.

Art Bell, your show will always be a wonderful part of memories from Good Times in my life. But this was it. It's over.

You do not walk that kind of career path without a certain amount of ego. But there has to be some part of him that realizes he will never be as successful as he was in the past. Radio itself isn't what it used to be. Noory will ride his gravy train into the ground. He gives no fucks and will scratch and claw any way he can to remain relevant and in the public eye. Art doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that would be happy with his new show the first time someone called and asked, "Art Bell who?" It's a lot easier mentally and emotionally to remember the Good Old Days and think I could have that again if I wanted it, rather than put yourself out there and risk failure. That failure can be absolutely soul-crushing. This is not a judgement on Art. He doesn't owe anyone anything, and I'm grateful for the years of radio he did provide.

Guess Keith didn't like my artwork. Imma go sit in the corner for awhile.

I have a kind of hierarchy of expectations and criticism here. It goes like this:

Art, George, other C2CAM Hosts -> professional guests like RCH/LMH -> novice guests like Jeremy Meador -> Callers

The hosts are supposed to be professionals. I have the highest expectations for them. If you are going to host a national radio program, you should have a thick skin and be able to maturely respond to legitimate criticism. You should also know when it is best to not respond at all, and definitely not resort to childish behaviour. Especially in a public forum full of critics.

The professional guests like RCH who have been established for years, likewise, must take the heat of that kind of exposure or GTFO.

Now the novice callers? Jeremy Meador? He has growing up to do, and he has responded very badly in the aftermath of his appearance. But I don't expect him to sound as polished as repeat guests. Other than the cell phone issue, his worst offense was being boring. I listened to the program after reading much of the live thread, and I don't think Art was anywhere near as bothered by him as some people on this board. Harassing him on his personal blog is inexcusable. At some point, when it becomes obvious your target is not listening to you, the harassment becomes more about you than him.  Insult his young age and inexperience, then get angry when he reacts like a young inexperienced person? Well, what did you expect to happen?

George Noory should feel bad about the current state of C2CAM, and probably lose his job. But I don't wish him any harm.

About half-way through, and the On Demand is working fine for me today. I'm enjoying the banter between Alper and Art.

I'm a pretty laid-back atheist. I don't bring it up unless someone gets confrontational with me. Unfortunately, the fact that atheists even exist is offensive to some. People can tell me they hope I find Jesus without repercussions, but if I say I hope they learn religion isn't necessary to be happy -- well, that's an ass kicking. Maybe it's a product of living in Bible-thumping Texas.

You have to learn to ignore and let it go, it unless you want to be angry and bitter all of the time. 

If you think Alper is a militant atheist, I suggest you haven't met many atheists.

The On Demand app remembers where you were if you aren't able to finish a show! It's the little things.

The best thing about SiriusXM besides Art being back, is that I have lots of other non-Norry things to listen to now.

Thank you... I had sent Art a very short Facebook message the day the show started. Facebook shows you when a message is seen, but I didn't write anything that warranted a reply, and I don't want to be a creep. I emailed the artwork to both of them, and was only curious. I've had depression nipping hard at my heels lately and have been struggling to work. Podcasts and good radio helps me immensely to focus. I listened to Art almost every night in my more productive days. I would be so happy to get any kind of acknowledgement from Art.

Someone must have told Norry not to feed trolls, because he never replied to me or any of the artwork I sent.
