Art Bell Quits Dark Matter

Art, Keith, Paul, I think you should keep the stream up with Kaku and similar stuff playing until this gets sorted out or finalized.

Art, do you consider Noory's singing voice to be acerbic or more Christadelphian in character?

Here's a sample:

. . . and once you hear it, it cannot be unheard  :-\

I'm going to guess almost all entertainment business contracts are standard with a non-compete.

Yeah. I couldn't work at Hardee's without signing this thing precluding me from working at Steak and Shake and other competitors during the duration of my employment, or revealing secret recipes and all that sort of thing. Its standard operating procedure.

Nope, not the case. Art could have made it a sticking point.

Art if you do come back on the air, why should we listen to you? You do have a history of "retiring" a lot.

I doubt if Art really gives a fat rat's ass whether you listen to him or not -- ever again. And he's likely to nice to do so -- so I'll say it for him ... GFY azzhat. But of course -- if he does come back you are totally entitled to listen if you wish -- and that would totally be a decision that you, and only you, can make for yourself. It's a free country -- and due to its freedom of speech you are entitled to your snarky comments ... just like I am free to oppose and ridicule same.

Nobodies making you. You know that. But what else do you got going on that's better than listening?
... AND YOU KNOW THIS... MAAAAN!

In Canada, other countries ( certainly UK and the EU block ), and some US states, non compete agreements won't stand up in court, and probably would never get to court**

How would Art fare?

(** depending on position / influence in industry)

Art would get squished. It's a fact. Howard Stern had an air-tight lawsuit against Sirius and was laughed out of court because he "already has enough money." The stupid judge would tell Art he's retired too much in the past so, tough shit. That's how U.S. judges are. Or, at least, a lot of them. They're allowed to do all sorts of stupid shit.

Okay, that's it, I'm coming up for air;

I am sixty-five pages behind and I was all caught up this morning

Well the tone was good, there is no tone to report today because there was no communication and
so that is all I am able to report. I try to be honest in my dealings with everybody and I have been
nothing but honest with Sirius/XM. I also am giving all of you the straight stuff.

When I was hired they just said come and have fun and if at any point you want to leave, no problem.
I didn't really want to leave, I just wanted a change in the structure to reflect what so many of their
other Host's do. I still think it would be a total win-win situation. They have not said yes and at the same
time they have not said no. I will let you know the moment I get word.

Thanks for the updates Art. I had the Sirius player turned down through the last 10 minutes of Harvey Levin and wouldn't ya know, a 1001 error popped up when I checked back to see what was playing at DM's start time. Yeesh. Siriusly ridiculous...

...I'm sure this has been discussed exhaustively, but:

all the ON-Demand shows on Sirius are set to expire in 3 days. Instead of the 1800+ days, prior to this fiasco.

Welp.

To answer your question, yes I have a two Year non compete. I am a bit puzzled
at the lack of response today but they are a big company and move slowly.

They may be concerned about my back problems, they are real and pretty awful
when they happen. It can cause me to lose a day or so because it is impossible to
move when it happens but so far I have always recovered.

From a guy Art who has half a hardware store in my back, I hear you but that can't be holding them back...they had to know about your back hell it knocked you down and out yrs ago...so it isn't anything new???

Q: just what was the far too pedestrian original title for the Ghost show Oct 31, before Steelbot thought of Spooky Matter?

Count me out. Michio Kaku is a nice guy but he fails to address the glass structures Hoagland found on Phobos. And he won't comment on the fact that Roger Leir is picking radios out of people's ankles --- obviously put there by time travelers from the future. Nor does Michio Kaku refute Michael Heiser's lies against the late Zechariah Sitchin. I'm through with Kaku.
