Funny.  I was just thinking, last night, whether it was too soon to PM you.  Guess you must have heard me lol.

Nikola had a lab here at 89 Liberty Street, New York City.  Probably a newer building though.

Rix Gins

He also had one here at 46 East Houston, later on.  (New York City.)  Also, most likely a more modern building there now.

Rix Gins

Oh well, at least he got a corner named after him.  (New York City.)

I found some of Nikola's lectures :  http://teslaresearch.jimdo.com/lectures-of-nikola-tesla/  :)

Wow!  I'm going to spend some quality time reading these lectures.  Thanks Logan.

I've been looking for this one. Nikola's particle beam weapon. it uses a vacuum tube that's open to the atmosphere. ???   Yup, you read that right.  http://www.tfcbooks.com/tesla/1935-00-00.htm

Very interesting article, especially the comment by Jimi X.  http://www.danielcelton.com/2015/01/13/is-teslas-particle-beam-weapon-practical/
Very interesting and well-written. I like:
"“death beam gap”
"his mental function remained intact and he managed to finish his PhD, a resounding testament to graduate student tenacity."
And interesting about Rolf Widerøe

Uncle Duke

A former coworker turned me on to the Canadian TV crime drama, "Murdoch Mysteries".  The series is set in the early 1900s, with the title character being an ahead-of-his-time Toronto homicide detective.  Many of the story lines are quite contrived, but by sheer coincidence last night I watched an episode dealing with a stolen Tesla developed death ray.  The weapon was being offered for sale by a sinister female mastermind to the world's powers.  This was at least the second episode that featured Murdoch working along side Tesla.

As an aside to "Red Green" fans, a reoccuping Murdoch character is a ruthless Canadian military intelligence operative who makes life difficult for the Toronto Constabulary.  It took me a few episodes to recognize the actor portraying this intense, hard ass is the same guy who played "Ranger Gord", one of the more off-the-wall loons in Possum Lodge.

Thanks Uncle Duke. I'll have to check out the Murdoch Mysteries, never heard of it. I was always a big Red Green fan too. That sounds like a neat episode.

Conspiracy theorists take note:

There have been rumors floating around the web for years now about Nikola being murdered. The following link brings some of this information together in one place. It's a good place to start research if this interests you.
I haven't corroborated or verified any of this, so take it for what it's worth.

If nothing else, it's an interesting read.

I didn't catch this, yet, and I'm sure likely didn't go into the details that you can uncovered on various websites and documents but interesting that he is getting more mainstream attention these days. I was informed on the show, by the way, by an old family friend from the region, he was Serbian but really born in Croatia (like Tesla) but things are so screwed up around there (even now) borders change, countries/kingdoms change, and people go by bloodlines/religion to identify.

Even during Nikola's time, yes, lineage was important for just that reason.

Here are some essays on Nikola's work relating to ancient tech. Interesting point of view. http://www.ancient-world-mysteries.com/nikola-tesla.html

Have you guys heard the one about how Tesla and Edison are actually time travelers who have been at war with each other for thousands of years?

I mean, they're probably just another lone gunmen, but it's interesting and incredible to think about.

LOL -Yeah, I heard that one, that would be a hoot. :)
But really, they weren't each others' nemesis as some writers would lead you to believe. Despite their differences, they were still cordial with each other - although Edison was a bull-headed lout and empirical experimenter, whereas Tesla worked things out in his head through visualization first.

Side Note: An anagram of 'nemesis' is 'siemens' - you guys should love this...     Not only is siemens  the derived unit of electrical conductance ( the electric conductance in a body that has a resistance of one ohm, )  but Siemens is also a major electrical / Industrial supplier.
