Won't last. They will be drawn to automation naturally as a result of capitalism. Yet as the human race goes unemployed, their markets will dry up. That will require the nationalization/globalization of the means of production. They will be in the same boat as the rest of us as currency itself goes obsolete.

You should listen to Max Keiser.  He's very entertaining.  (and smart)

And I disagree with you.  It will last.  It's just the way the world is now.  I guarantee you we will soon see that figure at 60%.

what the heck is a 'technologist'?

Similar to an Astrologist, except they have some credibility.

The end result of capitalism is technological unemployment as almost all jobs will eventually be automated. Current political ideas on capitalism on both the right and left are woefully obsolete therefore it is likely that things are going to crash and burn. Neither side is capable of managing what's going to happen over the next 20-30 years, therefore a new political order must arise.

Totally and completely agree! Need to write an entirely new constitution.

He'd better watch out before I kick him up to a 4.

There is no other possible outcome. They will always default to making more money and that will bring about what I'm describing. This issue has been known to be coming for quite some time.

I feel like, and course I could be wrong, that our founding fathers would laugh hysterically then cry at our stupidity from finding out we are following the exact same constitution from 1776 and haven't improved upon it once our country and world has changed. America, and Americans are afraid of change.

You Americans love to make fun of the way we say "about".

How about you morons start using adverbs?  You say, "It's a REALLY nice day"...  not a REAL nice day!  lol  ;D

Geez.  Let's start a grammar war, already!  We'll thrash you people!
