Dudes and Dudettes,...

About the Second Admendment:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"...

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms and was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments contained in the Bill of Rights... The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that the right belongs to individuals, while also ruling that the right is not unlimited and does not prohibit all regulation of either firearms or similar devices... State and local governments are limited to the same extent as the federal government from infringing this right per the incorporation of the Bill of Rights...

The Second Amendment was based partially on the right to keep and bear arms in English common law and was influenced by the English Bill of Rights of 1689... Sir William Blackstone described this right as an auxiliary right, supporting the natural rights of self-defense, resistance to oppression, and the civic duty to act in concert in defense of the state...

In United States v. Cruikshank (1876), the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that, "The right to bear arms is not granted by the Constitution; neither is it in any manner dependent upon that instrument for its existence" and limited the applicability of the Second Amendment to the federal government... In United States v. Miller (1939), the Supreme Court ruled that the federal government and the states could limit any weapon types not having a "reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia"...

In the twenty-first century, the amendment has been subjected to renewed academic inquiry and judicial interest... In District of Columbia v. Heller (2008), the Supreme Court handed down a landmark decision that held the amendment protects an individual right to possess and carry firearms... In McDonald v. Chicago (2010), the Court clarified its earlier decisions that limited the amendment's impact to a restriction on the federal government, expressly holding that the Fourteenth Amendment applies the Second Amendment to state and local governments to the same extent that the Second Amendment applies to the federal government... In Caetano v. Massachusetts (2016), the Supreme Court reiterated its earlier rulings that "the Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding" and that its protection is not limited to "only those weapons useful in warfare"...

Just thought you might want to know where the Supreme Court stands on this issue...

Bomar

I'm not an American, but I understand the gun ownership is a Consotutional right, correct? I'm not for owning weapons myself, but as I understand it, you can't just pick and choose what parts of the Consotutional you like. First Amendment is famous, too. I just can't see throwing out one amendment without tossing the whole document in the trash.

Ugh, given how voracious the Sandy Hook "truthers" can be, I wouldn't want my dissenting name out in the open either.

Lilith

Listening to Dr Mike Heiser episode now with my morning coffee.  Anybody plan to listen to Wells' first live show tonight on KLIF?  We can call in, and there will be a chat room, but I think I might end up just posting here if any other bellgabbers are listening.

weedeater

Oh my, its bible study Friday.  One more scholars interpretation of the unknown and the unknowable; deciphering texts written by flawed people centuries ago.  Lets have a show about those fabricated centuries between 300 ad and 1180 ad written about by Anatoly Fomenko, now that would be interesting.

Nah, tuned out when they brought the Norris kid on. Get enough doom porn from other exploiters of the genre. Recorded it audacity, though, so I'll listen to the rest of it on the way home

Bomar

Dudes and Dudettes,...

I missed the radio callin program...

Been working in the sun, cleaning a fence line, and then fell asleep, when I sat down with a beer...

Question: Is there a place where I can relisten to the 2 hour broadcast?

Thanks...

I received a beautiful gift of more patches for my Dad's cabinet in the mail today!

Thanks for the link weedeater. John just can't get away from radio it seems. I don't know about tonight's program, if there is one, but I do know about tomorrow's episode. I thought I had K2, but he is on the ball. Guest will be a fellow named Len Colodny, author of "Silent Coup" written about the Watergate affair twenty years ago,
and just re-released by Trineday publishing. This guy knows some stuff I never heard of, about Nixon, the "secret government" and so much more. I can't wait for that show. I just hope tonight is not a preacher or an economist.
Welcome Bomar, I hope Misty will join us.

Tues nights show I will probably catch Wed morning with my coffee.  I like Wells in the morning better than at midnight.  Sounds like a great listen, looking forward to that one O'Larry!

Tonight's guests: Shatoiya Bradley? effects of the booming tech industry on children
and Allan Favish, attorney, to discuss the Vince Foster case.
we shall see.

Wow, I almost forgot why I came here. Anyway, JBW says he will be live on terrestrial radio starting this Saturday night, from 10pm until midnight CDT, on KLIF
in Dallas, streaming on http://www.klif.com/
As usual, my work interferes.
Does his show lead CoastisToast?

It is subscribe-to video podcasts. I don't enjoy most of Wells' religious rants, but he has some excelent guests (and some awful ones), and I DO enjoy seeing the guests and wells on video. Sat night is new. Its live radio and chat for two hours, which is on this station:

http://www.klif.com/

His homepage for his video podcasts is here:

http://caravantomidnight.com/

and he DOES put some full shows and some partial shows on his YouTube channel, but you only get the audio on the YouTubes.

Oh, so Wells is gonna do the terrestrial gig once a week, then? It's kind of like Art's Dreamland! I had it in my head the last one was a one-off. This is great, KLIF streams sounds so good, too.

Apparently he's doing the KLIF gig on Saturdays. Doesn't sound like much of a choice between the two terrestrial options; nobody on C2C beats Wells (I like Knapp, though).

C2M is a premium service, but he puts his best examples on YouTube. It was kind of funny, for a while the YouTube channel had actual HD whereas the vids on the member site were crappy lo-def affairs. Maybe not your cup of coffee, but the podcast production is pretty top notch.

Dudes and Dudettes,...

I hate Bee Pollen, not really...

I have to get my hair cut again...

Another 30 mile trip to waste $10.00...

About the shows, Johnny B. rants again, at least he is consistent ....

PS... The Iraqi oil was sold to China, when the US Military left the region...

Note of fact: Chinese Oil Production has not been stopped by any internal insurrection...

I have not touched a mobile phone since 1991...

Wi-Fi, I do use for computer repairs, but I have no other Wi-Fi signals that can be received within 1 mile of my location,...  I live in a dead zone...

Like clockwork, Orlando gets labeled a false flag. Wells even went full retard and and wondered why nobody bothered to bum rush a guy pouring serious firepower their way. Shit doesn't work that way with unarmed civilians let alone the military or LEO. This is why I when I start hearing "false flag" I call BS. He rips these theories straight out of video games, I swear.

Lilith

Arite, I'll have a listen now with my morning coffee, and thank you for the warning about the Wells Rant. I will try to plug my ears during that part.

FWIW, the whole opener was a long stream of consciousness. The interviews are pretty good.

Yeah, we're on the Clinton part right now.  The video isn't showing up, so I have to  just listen to the audio this morning.

The video finally loaded, I have to start over now.  8)

I like Johnny B., but when he does the "Texas Rant", I ignore him...

I wish Mexico kept Texas, we would have had a better country...

Think about it, No Kennedy Assassination,  No President Johnson, No Vietnam War, No Bushes, shrubs, or hedges of any kind....

A person can only dream, good thoughts...

Bomar

Ah, "Texas Rant", that puts some perspective on some things. Didn't know it was actual thing. The things you learn.  :P

There is cause for suspicion with this event.

Imagine numerous limp wrists with guns strapped on to defend themselves. In all these phony shootings, no one ever has a gun to defend themselves. Then the weird fact it just so happens on gay day so the rulers of this mockery can incite hate and call for millions a cash to be donated to the victims. You see, there's a certain bizarre angle to all these shootings.
