Just saw that the Dow Industrials, United Airlines and the WSJ.com are all down...they have not said it is a cyber attack...but what are the odds?

*shrug*

The odds are 100% that They wouldn't tell Us for as long as possible.

I thought the same thing when I saw that the NYSE shut down after seeing that the airline was grounded. I did not know about WSJ.com, but it would seem to me that site would be hammered for news immediately, irregardless of the cause or causes.

Is anything else impacted? I just called all my friend and he didn't pick up, but that doesn't mean much, it's a quarter to eleven in the morning here, he's probably drinking and masturbating.

Use of irregardless even in jest negates the rest of your post. Those are the rules.

so is bellgab next?
oh that's right! I forgot about the hacks a couple of months ago, wr...maybe they were practicing on BG first?

It's really quite simple.  The college interns have been released and naturally, today marks the day they all were simultaneously given enough trust and authority to update the software at their respective jobs.  Today there are many interns thinking the same thing:  "was that me?"

N.P.R. was claiming a tech glitch. Now I take that with a grain of salt, but if true I stand corrected on blaming China.

Next time I forget to make a payment somewhere, I'm going to call up and say it was a "technical glitch."

The mmo I play is currently suffering from a DDOS attack. It's Everquest 2. Previously a Sony Online Entertainment game but there is no SOE anymore, it's Daybreak Games now.

My impression of Peter Moon's "visit" is that he found Dietrich uncooperative and/or unable to sign a publishing contract for the book (series) Moon has spent the past year preparing.

Huh.

"SolarWinds says it has 300,000 customers worldwide, including all five branches of the U.S. military, the Pentagon, the State Department, NASA, the NSA, the Department of Justice and the White House. It says the 10 leading U.S. telecommunications companies and top five U.S. accounting firms are also among customers."

Pornhub is kill  >:(
They got their data. That was Their whole point of the operation. Made some money also which They always like but the main deal was the data. The one thing that might be a concern is that They over-reached. Is this information damaging anymore in a society They pushed in which whatever perversions or piccadillos is already normalized? And a sex tape or 'indiscretion' is a money-maker and good thing for a politician or everybody?

I'm sure that has been 'archived.' And not by some friendly waybackmachine site.

A strange family indeed but still that is really weird that he would use his porn portal to watch events about his dad and business partner that aren't porn! Why not just turn on the tv (not transvestite but television) or open another browser to CNN or regular news site but to use his pornsite to view non-porn about his dad and business partner?  The incest fetish was expected but not viewing his dad's videos through the porn site. And odd that "Uncle Joe" has political stuff posted there at all?  Or that the porn sites host non-porn videos. Weird family and times.

Password: "solarwinds123"  Ok, people are often stupid. But I'm beginning to think more on the level of the Clinton bathroom server that the breach was intended. But using "poor security" and "common mistake" as the fallback excuse for someone who wanted to sabotage the country, company, and/or make some money.
