I wonder if he is going to keep the same timeslot or move it up to compete with MITD.

I guess he didn't have a non-compete.

He'll be lucky to retain any substantial portion of his subscribers as it is, as this move will get rid of everyone who retained it out of indifference.  If he moves his show earlier, even fewer will see the need to subscribe.

I hate to predict doom, though; think of all the potential new technical difficulties to delight us!

There was a 'cheat' that would allow to "avoid spikes" if you rotated the knob to precisely 19.5 degrees.
But seriously I loved Tempest, unfortunately, it can't really be duplicated (because the controls are different than most of the other games) so don't have it on my 'chipped' standup.

I do still, however, have a working Vectrex system though I've lost the plastic covers so you must play the games in B&W and I never had the 3-D Imager.

Vectrex was an awesome little system! If you want the full experience again repros of the overlays can be purchased cheaper than the originals. They're probably on eBay but google it as there might be others that sell them cheaper out there.

it in a way does suck after the absolutely hilarious show on monday

Thanks!
I'm amazed after a quick search how many people still have Vectrexes and you can still buy stuff and DIY making overlays, etc. Apparently there are some people who are still writing new games even (though not sure how that works.)

Yeah, I think there may be as many PD and homebrew games for it as official titles. If you do a torrent search for Vectrex games you can download the entire catalog in one shot. The whole thing is probably only about 5-10 MB max. This way you can load them into a vectrex emulator and see what games you would actually want to spend money on. I've never looked at the price of Vectrex games but if they're following the trend of old video games these days they're probably getting pretty steep.

It depends how much problems he has with Art, its safe to say that keith is under Arts thumb, i do see hoagie dropping the paranormal angle he has been half assing lately.

And the New Age stuff too.  But that would piss Robin off and then Richard would have trouble on another front.

I have a standup consol with one of those super-chips so many, many games on it. I wonder if I could make similar type of thing for my Vectrex? (I'm not a computer or electrician guy so would have to be fairly easy.)

Everdrives are a thing now. You can probably buy one for the Vectrex. They have a slot for an SD card to store the ROMs on. I would go this way and then just buy repros of the overlays you want. Armor Attack and Pole Position are two of my favorites for this system but there are a lot of good games for it.

Will check it out. Thanks. To stay on thread  ;). I hope RCH gets the show to work on the "new platform" but reverts to those few golden weeks when he had a good producer and wasn't 100% 19.5 and torsion.

Email today -- looks like Hoagie is jumping ship:

Wow. That might be a good idea. Now Hoags can have the time-slot he wants.

I bet Hoaxie could go over to Angels' PSN network or maybe even the DTRN that Prairie Ghost built for bateman. And lest we forget Vara's network lol

Couple more candidates: KGRA or the network that Leo Ashcraft formed?

GravitySucks

He already thinks Club 19.5 is his, but there is no way he is leaving here with the BRAAPS.

If he goes to KGRA that will be a major BRAAPfest every night.  They are barely capable of keeping their website up. Its like the Ozark shack of internet radio stations. UFOlogy and Bigfoot Yeeeeehaw!
