Somewhere in the Crydonia region of Mars a huge alien face is shedding a tear.
What's the over/under on The Other Side Of Butthurt doing it live on Monday?

I almost want to stay up and find out but it's on at 3:00 for me.  I think he might play 19.5 tears as bumper music.

It isn't sorrow producing that tear...it's laughter.

We'll always have the incident with Keith yelling "Go.  I said go!".  Those early days were amusing.  He really sucked me in with his perseverance.

I like the kid at the far right.  Looks like he (she?) wants to punch somebody out.

From what I can gather he was given a few free trial months vis-a-vis bandwidth cost so he could get his show out live, was set up with a producer who had great reach guestwise (and who I hope actually lands a better gig producing for someone else, because that talent is rare) and then his ego got in the way

Thank you very much. That means a lot and I appreciate it, because it makes me feel like all the time I spent working on the show wasn't entirely a waste.

Hey Rossy, have you talked privately to Art about your falling out with Hoagland? Did it have anything to do with Art not talking to him anymore?

He must be pulling his hair out trying to figure that out himself.
I don't think anything--including imminent global annihilation--would cause Hoagie to muss his own hair.

Rossy, you made the show what it was and the regulars on this thread know that. When you left, the show quickly degenerated to the level it's at now.

You were the only thing keeping Richard from self destructing.  You made the show great. :)

It's a classic case of egomania vs. being faced with an unfortunate reality of his own doing.

You wrote a very good piece on the Hoagland psychosis that I didn't repeat in its entirety to help MV save on bandwidth.

I could have written a similar one but I would have needed the help of a pipe and favorite tobacco (do they still make Madeira Gold?) but haven't had either for over forty years.  K...Dubb have you got one I can borrow?

Many!  Never had Madeira Gold.  I'm on McClelland's No. 24 Virginia and Fox's Banker's Mixture right now.

Definitely not! Hold your head high!

It was like a switch was flipped; when Rossy left, the show went to hell.  Even a casual follower of OSoM would see that.  Rossy's stock and cred are sky high right now, and deservedly so.  I can't wait to see what's next for SR (maybe too much to hope that he and Bateman could work together on some little midnight magic?)

Rossy.  If Art drops RCH would you consider hosting the/a show?  I'm just toying with some ideas.

To be clear that's a Howdy Doody broadcast. They borrowed the term from vaudeville. While "Peanut Gallery" could apply there were other, far more offensive terms for the "race section": https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/peanut_gallery

In the Hoaxland context I doubt any racial component was implied or intended. (Dick's not that kind of dick.)

Rossy.  If Art drops RCH....

Ok let's all clear this up right now. As Art said in his post, he doesn't control or own the network. So asking me if Art drops RCH is completely wrong. So, let's all get on the same boat and understand that Art is NOT the person to email or message about what's going on with RCH.

Art's message was very open and honest, so when he says he isn't the one in charge of this stuff, believe him.

Well, I believe Art has said he is co-owner of the network so there's that.  In any event, I'd like to see you get the chance to host OSOM.  I bet you'd do a great job with it. :)

Thanks Shay.  I was... curious...

Can I substitute roast turkey breast, or does that ruin the whole Hoaginess of it?

Absolutely...sub roasted turkey for smoked.  I just wanted the smokiness to tie in with the hatch chiles.  Go for it man!  Make it your own.  I presume you will be buying organic.  ;)

I don't know about all that, all I know is what he's said publicly and that is he isn't in charge of programming decisions, he is only in charge of his own show.

I do, however, feel like if Art wanted RCH gone he would be fired. :P

Would you be willing to do your own show?  I'm sure you would have an instant audience from those of us at BellGab.  I'd listen! :D

ShayP

I feel this thread as it stands now is putting undo pressure on Ross, even with the compliments.  Just my opinion.

You're wrong. Art is honest and open and what he said in his message was the absolute truth. He only controls his show.
