The Other Side of Midnight - Richard C. Hoagland - Live Chat Thread

Started by cosmic hobo, June 24, 2015, 08:00:52 PM

Trump hired this guy as his debate coach, they booed the idea of going 3rd party, but that was the making of the media, they made the question up and brought it up and implied it, Trump never said he was running 3rd party. People were actually booing fox news and the moderators question as not valid and so forth....

Hey everybody, there was a big political debate in Canada today for October's federal election!  What's all this about an American debate?

haha Yeah I know The Maclean's debate. I switched it on and saw Harper's pale vampire face and turned it off.
I watched most of the American debate though, just for this show  ::)

Everyone who doesn't enjoy this political drivel send RCH a message on Skype asking him to dump it.  I sent him a message, maybe if enough of us send messages he'll listen.

I'm really not happy that Hoagie is doing a politics show.  Yuck.  Talk about crazy shit on the Moon or something.
^This^ I prefer sci-fi or mars talk. Still, even Art did politics once every so often. Change of pace?

Royal, he has WD40'd his chair and it squeaks more now than before!

I still haven't used Skype.  It's just a few clicks away.  Why am I afraid?  What is my life?

Braaps, yo!

So far the discussion has been pretty good.  Richard and the guests have made valid points.  I do think Richard and the guests lean more towards the Democrat side but so far the discussion hasn't disintegrated into partisan talking points.

This one guest and his obsession with the Lincoln-Douglas debates is annoying as hell.

I'm thinking about posting RCH's first few shows on Youtube. I think the world needs to hear them.

I would dance at your wedding if you did that.

RCH forgets Democratic Presidential candidate's last name, someone else mentions it. "I intentionally didn't use her last name."

Never change Hoagie.

He snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. But does the squeak need its own reference? Lower case braaps for squeak, BRAAPS for normal sound and greetings? Consensus?

I second the motion

Jackstar

I kinda don't get how the debate is deemed to be of super significant importance when the bigger story and question is how Jon Stewart came to "retire" on the same night it's held.

mortalwombat

the cliff notes version of today & tonight -
the republican debate: not one word about economic inequality, climate change, Citizens United or student debt.
the RCH analysis: same thing, indicating a lack of critical thinking skills.

That's too big a decision for me. I can't make up my mind.
