SO Art is claiming he can't do the show now because he thinks it will cost too much to use bumper music in the FREE STREAM.  doesn't he realize that for the paid part he just yanks the music out and he doesn't have to pay and THAT'S IT!!!!  Dude is getting cold feet and just found a way to NOT do radio.  UGH I'M PISSED THE FUCK OFF.  I was on Art's bandwagon all the way and then I just saw this post on ArtBell.com.  WTF is his problem and only time I'm backing Keith on something.  Art WHAT ARE  YOU THINKING???!!!!

I've never been more angry then I am today and it's not cause it seems Art is a Waffling. It seems like it's cause he didn't want to be honest with his fans. He gave us a BS excuse to explain why he can't anymore. Dude if you just said I'm old and tired people would say hey WE UNDERSTAND. Agreed. Loved Arts old show, but it aint brain surgery. It amazes me of all the radio shows and podcasts out there, no one has been able to capture the feel of Art's Show of the 90's. Go park yo ass in the middle of the high desert and hit record. Bring an old pot of coffee and some cigarettes. Takes some phone calls on your speaker phone. Finito. It ain't that difficult.

I listen to a couple popular mainstream radio shows through Podcast and know that they have to cut music out so the station doesn't have to pay out the ass so I know art isn't lying on that front. That said, it'd be super easy to find new music. There are a ton of channels on youtube that create royalty free music and Art has such a big fanbase that he could do a contest for people to send him their original music.

The company is making huge moves in the genre, with many heavy-hitters (biggest show is Adam Carolla, among many others).

They, not random business advisors, might be the right people to talk to about how he can manage.

Again, Carolla for example, has a daily radio show, through the site, and his own.

wtf, can't do a show because of bumper music? Don't tell me you can't get some royalty free bumper music, or maybe licence 1 piece. I don't care if "the chase" is the only music they play on Art's show. It's about the talk, that's why it's called a talk show. Sounds like a lame excuse to me.
There's a bunch of free-music websites out there. If Art can't find a good one, I'll compile a list for him.

Over the years he has given us some of the most memorable moments on the radio. I understand you all being upset or angry, but stick with him. he's streaming 24/7 for free and uses a ton of bumper music.
I already suggested, try to talk to Alex and make a deal with him to stream your show over his network in the evening, because Alex is live during the daytime only anyway.
The only reason I can imagine Alex would refuse is because he's a buddy of George Noory.
Don't know if that would be such a big problem.
I'm sure that could be worked out IF PEOPLE ONLY TALKED TO EACH OTHER.

I agree. Regardless of if one like Alex or his content it can't be denied that he found a formula to gain listenership by not using the big corporate radio interests. He also uses bumpers and, considering his content, I'm guessing if he was doing it illegally or without royalties companies would come after him. He also maximized "free" models on give-away (or free copy DVDs), torrents, youtube, pirate radio, internet streaming, short wave, local AM affiliates, bumperstickers, local access tv, contests, etc into a money-making venture with now great production value in streams, sound, caller quality, etc (again ignoring the person or subject(s).)
