I laughed at Bachelor saying something like "Best Buy was last time I checked was like a storefront Amazon." Ha. That is something that my young relatives raised "online" would say, I wouldn't expect that kind of reasoning from a man of his age.

Batchelor's pretty hip.

98?  Jeez Louise...........  Would the dude even survive the flight to Poland?

Poland gives zero fucks. They want the guy's old mushy head on a platter.

I also learned that March is "Problem Gambling Awareness Month" in New Jersey.

So, The FBI is paying Best Buy employees to be snitches. It made me think though that, given the recent surveillance tools of the CIA et al that were released couldn't one load up a laptop with some questionable porn and some of this malware and then effectively be spying on the FBI? Food for though.  ;)

Not only paying them to be snitches, but literally training them and giving them access to law enforcement tools and lists of targeted individuals. Just the kind of power you want give the clowns selling you an Apple Watch.

There is so much "there there" in the story and deeper questions. Was Best Buy aware? We're their managers aware? Was anything buried in Best Policy TOS or etc when one take their computer into fix allowing it that people "consented"? Is the FBI telling them not to report what they found to local LEOs but only to them legal (some places there are laws that if you find something like illegal porn, child abuse, etc you must report it?) Did any Best Buy employees use these tools for their own use (identity theft, hacking, or extortion of people who took their computer in with illegal material in it?) And, like with StingRay, the LEO using the "tool" but covering up how they found the information in indictments so that the technology used doesn't become known or so judges don't throw it out of court for some violation. Does the Best Buy stuff come up in discovery during prosecutions? (StingRay didn't.)

Best Buy was indeed aware, at least at the individual store level. Corporate VP denied there was any relationship. Unsealed documents prove otherwise.

Every day it gets more and more like a Philip K. Dick novel.  :o

They only thing that I used to get from Best Buy was exclusive The Who and Pete Townshend CDs, LPs and DVDs. They had some sort of deal.

I bought Led Zeppelin BBC sessions 2 disc set for the soul reason of having Traveling Riverside Blues. I also bought some new Pink Floyd release.. might have been the Wall DVD and it came with a free mini record that was supposed to be collectable. Record players were before my time so i had no use for it and hung it on my wall with a nail. I don't have very many CD's left they were always blowing out of my jeep and getting lost.
