If I'm not mistaken Noory has actually shown a slight increase in number of stations which carry him. This isn't the good news it might seem, because it was made necessary , in what could be just the beginning, by big-watt stations in cities with huge markets dropping him. He's getting little stations with much smaller markets to try to backfill the loss. So it might look like he's making strides, but he's got a massive loss of listership since AB's day. Which means revenue. But obviously it's enough for Premiere. (I've often wondered why Noory's mediocre-at-best performance is satisfactory to Premiere shareholders...assuming Prem is publicly traded). The important number is not stations, but nightly/weekly listeners, accurate numbers for which are difficult to get unless you pay to get them from a service like Arbitron (didn't Nielsen buy them?). It looks to me like George is getting bad news on listeners, because the only data C2C listeners can get is that which is publicly available from the Talkers mag. If the Arbitron news was great, rest assured we'd be seeing it.

It's also becoming common for broadcasters to simulcast on an AM and an FM station. Usually the AM transmitter is in one part of town and the FM in another.  They do that because, as the suburbs spread out, the signal of one station cannot cover the entire metro area.  I think that's how his station numbers have increased.

Premiere Radio Networks has been acquired by CCMO: US. They're losing money.

I have an idea. Everyone who can on Coast Gab buy 1 share of stock in the company. It is $ 2.75 a share so it won't break anyone's budget. Then write them NOT as a listener but as a stockholder. Companies will ignore listeners. But they do pay attention to upset stockholders.
