I once had a similar boss. Long story short I told him what everyone was thinking and he fired me four times in 20 minutes  .. 30 minutes later we were in his office drinking a brew and him telling me he liked me because I didn't suck up to him.

I have my present job because a past manager appreciated that I think nothing of being very blunt in my opinion.  I listen as well- but have never seen a reason not to be honest...

Some people appreciate that- others really do need to be told how smart they are, how great an idea they had and that every plan will work with no modification.

I have worked with a number of boot-lickers and just seeing them kissing up to authority and authority not discouraging it, I find sickening.  With that sort of management the decent folks just keep their mouths shut.  It is said that often people become actors and teachers because they have ego problems and need a certain amount of fawning by others.  Well, I think some managers also have that problem.  Maybe some don't see it, but at times it is so obvious that they should really shove the sycophant away and reprimand him for being such a jerk.  I like honesty on the job.  Don't most of us try to avoid people who are not trustworthy?

I am back and fealing a lot better, no in appropropriate fealings and i have been with greasy for several days for long periods of time.
This means that I CAN FOCUS ON THE MEETING FULL TIME.
Question:  although i am getting several of Art's long time friends like myself, bob and sue crane etc. i was thinking it might be a good idea to have someone people who are "out of the loop".
IF ANYONE thinks this is a GOOD idea, please let me know if you would consider being one of the "out of the loop" persons to attend the MEETING to give your unbiased opinion.

I am BACK and working fulltime on this, so let me know as soon as possible.

I am so well respected by all (art, sue, bob et al) and all bellgabers i think this affort will be rewarding for all of us and the general radio listening audience as well.

thanks again for all the wonderful thoughts and preyers on my behalf.
i will NEVER FORGET this out pouring and will pay back BY GETTING ART BACK ON THE RADIO, full time and HEATHER back as a producer non on air talent.

Just pulled that outfit out of the attic for old times' sake and Hoagie's farewell. At one time there was a Sith uprising against Hoagie. That was when Sandra became Darth Sandra.
