One time that happened to me, and the next day went like this:

eating my sammich ... "Mmmm turkee."

I have heard these stories and am shocked that the FRC has not investigated and shut down his show. It is a plague.

I'm also curious. Are the same shows played in The Great White North as here? Or do they delay/edit? Because I assume, just from various news stories etc, that the laws up there are a but more stringent. Not just the "health" claims on Norry's version of C2C but also some of the callers and even guests can, on occasion, depending on board-operator or how uninterested Norry is, get into things that could be considered "hate" speech, and I think you have laws against that stuff? I know Norry cut off some anti-Joose guy recently but recalled Syrette let one ramble (I put that off to him being a polite Canadian and not figuring what was going on) still. Having said that I don't mind whatever views or callers and like controversy, when well spoken and not just insults or cussing, (and some of Art's best was letting them on and/or tearing them down) but some countries have laws against. And also with the health claims? Odd would be allowed on Canadian airwaves or not? (I don't know laws there but seen cases of "rightwing racist" types and funny lists of porn titles not allowed in, also some law that content needs to be a certain percentage of "Canadian" produced in media?

Haha. I've only been to The Great White North a few times and, interestingly to me, I was always surprised that any major concern was if we had any tobacco products. Apparently cigarettes, dip, or chew were key concerns. Likely a hockey or tax issue. I was mainly wondering how your 'system' dealt with these quacks. In Holland, and I think Germany, holopathic and 'oriental' was actually covered, but (at least in the Netherlands) some mainstream vaccinations weren't, (you had to pay out of pocket or, if on on public systen a reason.)

It's been that way for several years now, I think. It's a great shame, because you want to come to Coast precisely to hear the stories you may not have heard discussed on 'mainstream' news all day. What's worse is that he is often running stories that are a day or even two days old. I put it down to his fantasy of channeling Walter Cronkite.
Often, I think he goes to the Fox News website, picks a few stories and attempts to paraphrase them live, which is why he so often screws up.

Going up to Blairsville, GA next Monday morning.  A friend lives up there and we are going to watch from there.  97% Totality where I am now but might as well get the most out of it 60 miles north.  We have our Eclipse glasses.
