Meanwhile... at the Pentagon... they don't find Jack or squat. How do you accept these facts at face value without bursting into peals of laughter? What, is it still too soon?

You don't know this.   I'm sure the military isn't as forthcoming with data as NYC.   Did you ever think that maybe below the pentagon is a deep network of tunnels and sublevels?   It's very likely that the plane disappeared right into this underground.

Speaking of a more Art Bell-era topic. Has anyone seen that TWA-800 documentary that came out last year? I never saw it advertised for any theater or on tv in my area and never been able to find online even in torrents. Curious if it solved any questions or just raised more and on the production quality.

What was it called?

... are you saying I'm not theorizing enough? Let's look at the evidence.

I've already linked you to the guy with the thirty-year-plus career in the Air Force as an airline crash investigator. But let's ignore him--maybe he didn't have clearance to know about this hypothesized network of hollow tunnels underground.

Unfortunately at the moment I can't sit and read this.  If there's some video analysis, I'll watch it, but I'm not convinced just quickly glancing through the article.  I do think there is probably underground shit at the pentagon.   That building is too small for everything that has to be going on in DC.   We all know for a fact that there is a massive underground system at the white house.   There was a news article on it a couple of years ago.  The article mentioned how it was extremely top secret, and they had tarps covering the worker's entrance.     Why wouldn't there be something similar at the pentagon?

The official story alleges that a plane came in low and skimmed the ground at a high rate of velocity. So... are you saying that the thing suddenly took a sharp dive ninety-degrees into the ground, and penetrated what must be hardened military bunkers??

LOL...   A couple of things could have happened 1) It is heavily fortified and the plane just virtually disentigrated, 2) There are underground facilities and the wreckage of the plane dropped into it as it was burned or 3) Maybe the angle of approach would have allowed it to go underground - who knows?  Its hard to tell from the pictures, but I haven't looked that closely.   My thoughts were #2 or #1.

Look deeply. Do passenger jets have afterburners? No. No, they do not.

No, but remember, it hit some poles on the way in.  Who knows what they did, they might have punctured the fuel or fuel lines and the resulting fuel trail could have ignited.

I thought this was interesting.  The theory seems solid and grounded in actual ballistic evidence.

Thanks for the tip on this doc!
Really compelling! They lay it out really well and use actual evidence. Although I do have a slight problem with witness testimony about smelling gunpowder. Even though it was still fresh in their minds, memory can be flawed. Even more so, because of the scope and tragic nature of the event. Good doc nonetheless.

What strikes me is the culture of the Secret Service.  The recent BS with SS agents in Columbia not paying a prost for services and the shit storm that ensued.  The failure during the early days of the Obama administration to prevent a couple of opportunistic socialites from crashing an official event at the White House.  The stories of SS agents out all night partying while on protection detail.  These stories make me think that the SS is a boys club for jocks who are in a neverending contest to prove to their world they have the longest dong.  It shocks me there aren't more LHO

Jackstar

Consider: today's Secret Service is a direct descendant of Johnson's detail.

That is disturbing about the SS boys club BS. It makes total sence to me that if the SS agent did kill JFK by a hangover induced slip up, they would do whatever they could to try to cover it up. It's amazing there isn't a picture at that exact moment the gun went off. A muzzle flash would be easy to spot. I guess the doc did mention that the SS/FBI seezed all the cameras/film.

I think this is the one. Considering the original incident and all the C2C shows about it I'm curious if the film answers the questions or just brings up more.

If Johnson wanted the Presidency he could've destroyed Kennedy with JFK's philandering. I read that General Dynamics used same philandering to blackmail JFK into choosing their plane design over a competitor.

And LBJ could've used the JFK drug use in addition to his philandering (LBJ might be hesitant to go there due to his own issues). Even if it started due to a bad back the populace, back then, wasn't very forgiving of junkies and it is quite clear that JFK was using amphetamines, narcotics, etc.

It was surely Kennedy's repeated drug-fueled rampages of insanity that encouraged the splinter cabal within the Secret Service to consider Johnson's plan as a rational one. Obviously some of them had to have known, and been willing to have been silent in complicity.

What would the alternative to whacking him have been? I can just see the headlines: "Former President Kennedy Admitted To Meth Rehab." Did they even have meth rehab in the sixties? 'Cause, they sure as shootin' had meth.

Am fine it means

I had the same problem: I said "Miracle Max," and the damn thing kept spitting out "Billy Crystal."

Get it? Billy... Crystal.

Dubbed "Dr. Feelgood", Jacobson was known for his "miracle tissue regenerator" shots, which consisted of amphetamines, animal hormones, bone marrow, enzymes, human placenta, painkillers, steroids, and multivitamins.

Jackstar

Quote from: Wikipedia Muckraker
John F. Kennedy first visited Jacobson in September 1960, shortly before the 1960 presidential election debates.[9] Jacobson was part of the Presidential entourage at the Vienna summit in 1961, where he administered injections to combat severe back pain. Some of the potential side effects included hyperactivity, impaired judgment, nervousness, and wild mood swings. Kennedy, however, was untroubled by FDA reports on the contents of Jacobson’s injections and proclaimed: "I don’t care if it’s horse piss. It works."[10] Jacobson was used for the most severe bouts of back pain.[11] By May 1962, Jacobson had visited the White House to treat the President thirty-four times.[12][13]
Hell's bells, it's even sourced. Wiki old school!

I just watched this on PBS and it was great. Death and the Civil War on American Experience:

Edit: I cannot tell if the link is there because all I see is a big blank area. It is available on YouTube for anyone who is interested. And here is a written intro/description of the film:

I just saw "Dreams of a Life", the Joyce Vincent story.

I think this is one of the best examples of a sociopath I've seen.

This woman's body was found in her apartment 3 years after she died... She had multiple groups of friends all of whom knew her by a different name, so nobody reported her missing...  FOR 3 YEARS!  This is a really sad and fascinating watch.

Lovely thread. I recommend anything posted by Vice on YouTube.

Just notices the URL thread ends with "Pies"... makes me hungry....

Video title and opening statement are deceptive as fuck.  Nah dude, you're not smoking weed with the President of Uruguay.  You're smoking weed in front of the President of Uruguay.  Please be more specific next time.

Even though it may have been stolen from Bill Hicks (some of Denis's material IMHO was), this is the version I remember...
