Is it really?   What funds does the PRC contribute to the other 49 states and miscellaneous commonwealths, districts and protectorates?
What total dollars are collected and redistributed?
I'm curious, if you have those numbers available.

No one is going to do the research for you, but PUD's comment is correct with respect to federal income taxes paid and federal benefits received.  You can Google it.

Whereís all that wealth coming from? HowMuch.net found that the states with the largest economies are California (13.3 percent), Texas (9.5 percent), and New York (8.1 percent). The states with the smallest economies are Vermont (0.2 percent), Maine, Rhode Island, North and South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska, all of which represent about 0.3 percent of the U.S. economy.

I don't know if its significant but the most dependent near the top are mainly red states.. AL is number 4.

Just keeping you honest. GDP ranking is not equal to federal taxes paid. Weighted averages of federal spending against State GDP and state spending is not equal to federal dollars received.

This equation is not as simple as it first appears.

Should you eliminate FICA taxes since that is related to future retirement? What about Medicare taxes?

Should you eliminate Social Security and federal retirement benefits paid since those are paid to individuals no matter where they live? But donít these payments benefit the local economy where the people live?

How do you handle payments to federal contractors?  Where the corporation is headquartered and taxed or where the work is performed?

How do you handle each stateís share of existing and future debt?  Is it per capita? Do you count all residents or only count citizens?

It really ends up being a complicated question with no clear answers.

One thing is clear. The federal government still spends more than it takes in. I can almost guarantee that in spite of Californiaís ranking of GDP, no California tax dollars are going to Mississippi.

Not a problem. They've just signed off a tax bill that will run the deficit to over a trillion dollars. If it had been a problem, they wouldn't have done it.

Yep...So it dispels the myth that it was an anti Trump investigation. You know that Chris Steele did the main work into investigating the corruption in FIFA? He provided the info that motivated the FBI into raiding the FIFA HQ and making arrests. He has credibility as a first rate spook, just because you don't like what he's uncovered doesn't make him wrong.

After 30+ years in the real estate and casino business, and dealing with Russian oligarchs, Trump is squeaky clean. He's also the only modern POTUS who doesn't want the public to see his taxes, for purely innocent reasons. Anyone who says different is fake news.

We donít have a taxation problem, we have a spending problem.

One thing that you cannot argue about is that the national debt is currently growing at a slower rate than it did under Obama.

Giving tax breaks to billionaires that have in the last month exercised their share option buy backs? What? They're not paying the employees more, really? Downsizing the government isn't working out so well. They haven't officials to deal with things that need dealing with. Instead the two principal advisors to Trump are Stephen Miller and Hope Hicks.. Neither have any political or state department experience. Zero. One is a big mouth who is embarrassingly supine, the other used to be PR for Ivanka's clothing firm.
