There is an endless array of federal, state, and local laws, rules, fees, filing requirements, you name it.  That you'd better be aware of, or else.

For starters, all the various laws passed that supposedly benefit employees - ADA;  Minimum wage;  Family Leave.  These are all well meaning, and while the media reports on a couple key items, they run thousands of pages - and every employer had better be aware of what's in them.  It's exhaustive keeping up.

Then there's the expensive time wasting requirements that don't provide anyone with anything of value.  Sarbanes-Oxley.  All the new banking regulations.  SOX was implemented by a Congress that wanted to ''do something'' after Enron, et al.  Had SOX been in existence, it wouldn't have prevented a thing.

The 2008 meltdown was a result of Andrew Cuoma at HUD removing credit requirements so ''poor people'' could buy houses, Goldman Sachs selling fraudulent sub-prime mortgage backed securities as AAA investments, and AIG selling SWAPS to investors that didn't own the underlying securities.  Instead of addressing that, they put more reporting requirements on banks.

Try selling goods in California.  Go take a look at the quarterly sales tax return.  There is a basic statewide rate that goes to the state government, then every county adds their own rate, which varies from country to county, and a good number of cities add whatever they've managed to pass onto it as well.  I don't recall, but I'm guessing water districts, fire districts, school districts, park districts, and who all ever else can tack on a bit as well.  The poor slob who owns a business with customers all over the state gets to try to determine how much to collect from who, keep a record of it, figure out how to fill out the form, and send it in.

There are plenty of dumb environment laws, plenty of dumb safety laws, plenty of dumb laws affecting businesses in general.  Because it's one size fits all, and everyone has to comply, whether it makes sense for their business or not.

There are inspections, forms to fill out, fees, deadlines, everything right down to the number of parking spaces in your parking lot, and who can park where.

No one has time for this shit.  They are requirements that don't cost the legislators a thing - and they exempt themselves - but cost everyone else a ton of time, energy, and expense.  People get tired, and either leave the state or offshore the business.

That's enough to keep you busy, you get the idea.

Why would people subject themselves when they don't have to?

I asked for 10 specific 'laws' or regulations.  Not general areas of laws or regulations and I certainly did not ask for the unhinged rant after that.  Sorry, but this is not an answer.

This is a specific regulation (I asked for 10 examples of these that are useless):
Canada Labour Code - Occupational Health & Safety:

14.20 (1) Before motorized or manual materials handling equipment is used for the first time in a work place, the employer shall set out in writing instructions on the inspection, testing and maintenance of that materials handling equipment.

Yeah, I know.  Unless some ''study'' giving you a bunch of statistics, or the Fake News Media tell you something, you've completely unable to figure things out for yourself.  That's fine.  You're one of the people who, when told 7 of the 10 wealthiest counties in the US are those surrounding Washington DC wouldn't be able to explain why.

Sacramento is the home of the California State Government.  It's where most of the bureaucrats live and work.

From 1980 to the present, California State Government spending has grown from roughly $20 billion to $132 billion.  The population of the greater Sacramento area in that time has risen from under 1 million to 2.5 million.  If you don't think any of those new residents moved there for cushy state jobs, where is all that new spending going?

Trust me, no one is moving there for the ambiance.

Again, this is just a repeat of your prior non answer.  I asked you to show me the breakdown of employment in Sacramento, not some statistical correlation.

You are also dishonestly attempting to move the goal posts.  In this post you wrote "If you don't think any of those new residents moved there..." but, in your prior post you wrote "All those newer residents either work directly for government, or work in companies that supply them, feed them, report on their doings, etc."

There is a big difference between 'any' and 'all.'  It's that sort of blatant dishonesty that you engage in that causes me to ignore you (well, one of many reasons), hopeless retard.

Now 136 owes me answers to four questions of my choosing

False, hopeless retard, you agreed to provide answers to two months of your responses where you dodged questions.  You failed to give an answer in any of these first three, but just replied with more non answers.

In the first case, you did give a semblance of an answer, but in the second and third cases you just replied with the exact same non answer.

In the second case:  "Everybody already knows this so I don't have to answer it" (I believe in law this is known as 'res ipsa loquitur', but, in the case of Sacramento, you clearly can't actually show that, and your shifting of the goal posts clearly shows you know you can't actually show it.)

In the third case, you just repeated 'fake news!'

Like the critically acclaimerd fake news awards, there needs to be a special “government shutdown” edition of the fake news awards.

We can have photos of the national parks and monuments gates “locked” with grandparents consoling their “devastated” grandchildren. And we can’t forget the “claims” that prisoners will have to be let out. And the piece de resistance, grandma’s dog whimpering because “Trump’s greed” is forcing her to eat the dogs dinner. Throw in a couple of canned photos of Trump golfing and we’re good to go. News “producers” won’t miss a minute of the NFL playoffs. “Mission accomplished”.

He needs to visit Palos Verdes more. He’s earned it.

Boo hoo.  Part of the Federal Government is shutdown.  Thanks Democrats!!!  It is not like the National Parks are busy at this time of year anyway.  Let's keep this going until April 1.

The number of federal employees considered essential who will work during the shutdown should be considered as the baseline requirement for the federal workforce.   All positions considered nonessential should be reviewed for elimination/consolidation by a consortium of non governmental experts (industrial engineers, efficiency experts, etc,) applying the standards and best practices used in the commercial sector.

Not better than a Clinton Presidency

Any of them would habe been better than Hilary Clinton.  Even Barry Sanders, although him not by much.

The Clinton's abuse of office as cover for their corrupt dealings - for personal gain and political advantage, ongoing from the Arkansas days; the corruption and abuse of power of the Obama Administration in furthering partisan politics - including multiple felonies in various operations; his thumbing his nose at the limits to his office, knowing the media would take his side, knowing he wouldn't get serious push-back from the Congress; his divisiveness and destructiveness to both advance his party and to damage the country - these would have been her starting points.

Jeb would have just been another fake conservative, blundering along, frightened by the mean Democrats and pretend journalists.

If I ever need Democrat talking points on some issue, I'll let you know

Four Republicans, excluding Mitch McConnell, voted no on cloture and, with McConnell's vote, the vote failed 50-49.  Not a surprise the Stupid Party of NO! can't actually govern.  So, you should be thanking your fellow stupid Republicans.

What this lemming idiot said doesn’t even make sense. Shocking. Shouldn’t he be happy? All but 5 demokkkrats voted no as well. Whoops.

Now here’s some useful information, not that 12345678 will understand it. 4  Democrats voted for cloture, 4 republicans voted against it, Mitch McConnell voted against the measure so that he could reconsider the motion, a procedural rule.

Lemming 12345668 will whine and complain until the MSDemoKKKRat Media figures out their talking points. When he gets his orders, lemming 12345678 will share with us what we can already get from the NYTimes, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, WaPo. Nothing useful, nothing coming from a place of critical thought. Just another cliche lemming waiting to cut and paste from his spoonfed lemming websites.

Run along lemming, we’ll see you in a few days after you receive marching your orders.

Never happen. He's way too chicken. Palos Verdes is in California

I'll be honest--I don't count people who refuse to learn to speak English. How many does that leave?

Simply speak English or speak English well?  If it's the latter test, that doesn't even leave many people here.
