Well, I guess the deep state is finally getting their war there that they've wanted for so long. Clearly, they are the kings. Elections are irrelevant because if we actually vote for someone they don't want they'll just do everything in their power to get rid of that guy and do what they want anyway. Power to the people, right on!  ::)

Oh, I thought everything was peace and love between the Russians and the Trump administration since they colluded on the election. ::)

And your proof of this or are you just another lazy, mindless consumer of the deep state news?

Ah! I wasn't sure if you were rolling your eyes at me or it.  ;)

I know I'm not the biggest Trump fan but I scoff at the hysterical ramblings of the anti-Trump contingent.

The more I see the way they, the legacy media and the deep state are responding the more I'm convinced he was the right choice.

The US should be limiting itself to helping the Kurds retake their areas and defend their areas, and to liquidating ISIS and other terrorist groups that threaten others outside Syria (al-Qaeda, etc).

That said, the Syrian plane was directly bombing rebels we've made a decision to support and are on the ground with.  The Syrian plane was warned away and it bombed them anyway.  This was a test of Trump by Putin.  The response was correct.

Then it comes down to proving the identity of said rebels/ISIS.  ;)

I would but Trump campaigned on defeating ISIS not supporting them.  ;)

I know that you know, that everybody knows, that this is not about ISIS but about the 'pipe'

(in case you didn't knew that before, now you know)
(but, I know that you know)

Regardless of the objective I see it as counter-intuitive and self-defeating to team up with people who are fundamentally opposed to your value system, even in using them against your enemies/competitors. We can trace the ways this has been used against here at home as evidence of that.

..it's called multitasking, (very bad idea in this particular case)

Here is very interesting reading..last part from a multi post 'essay'

In my opinion this is a very smart move by Ausies.

"Australia halts air strikes in Syria after Russia-US tensions over downed Damascus jet"
https://www.rt.com/news/393166-australia-halts-flights-syria/

Let's hope more countries join them.
No need for this escalation,..tho on other hand Biblical Prophecy regarding Syria will be fulfilled. I don't know maybe if starts sooner it will be over sooner.
On the other hand proposition of WAR that will involve many countries, very devastating war is not that enchanting either.

Syria conflict: US jet 'downs Iranian-made drone' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-40344534

"A US jet has shot down an Iranian-made drone operated by forces backing the Syrian government in the south of the country, American officials say.
The drone was thought to be armed and threatening US-led coalition troops on the ground, officials said.
But Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said the action amounted to "complicity with terrorism".
The incident comes after the US shot down a Syrian fighter plane on Sunday and another drone earlier this month.
The F-15 plane downed the drone around 00:30 on Tuesday (21:30 GMT Monday) north-east of Tanf, an outpost of the US-led coalition, according to a US military statement.
The incident underscores the growing tensions in the region as a battle develops for the control of eastern Syria, BBC defence and diplomatic correspondent Jonathan Marcus says."

"They were threatening our forces on the ground," the US official quoted by AFP said. "Their course was on a run toward our folks to drop a munition on them."

There is no freaking fucking way Ruskies are not going to deliver severe punishment for this. Burgers are etching for a fight, that's very obvious.
Unless Burgers can provide solid fucking evidence that the above quote was 100% fucking solid we will get fucking show. Very deadly fucking show.
I fell fucking Ruskie bear is awaken now...

(..the twist will be that is probably not going to be done the way Burgers are hoping for, it will not be direct obvious punishment.O No.
It will be done like in the chess game, there will be few other moves made by Ruskies and then the shit will fall down.
And possibility is that will not at all point to the fucking Bear. Military chess game on a ULTRA FUCKING HIGH LEVEL.)

CozyRozie

you see the three (3) fingers Putin is exposing, that's the third time US acted aggressively for no real solid reason.
1. bombing the airport
2. shooting down Syrian jet yesterday
3. shooting drone today

..if Burgers think that fucking Ruskie Bear will wait for number 4. -I feel they are mistaken.
But who knows, I might be mistaken, and Putin might play multitasking longer term very mean spirited chess game.
Those fucking Slavs go from extreme to extreme, and from romantic fucks they somehow turn into vicious cold blooded savages.
Strange fucking 'race' of people.

Sounds like bs to me. What pilot would willingly put themselves 1.5m off the wing tip of a large aircraft like that?

Yeah we say five feet, the Russians will cite a far more conservative, responsible distance.  It's all about scoring points in the international media/community.   These intercepts have been going on all over the world by various nations for well over fifty years.  Most have been routine identify/escort missions where the aircrew exchange proper, if not friendly, waves and gestures.  During times of tension, however some of these intercepts have gotten hairy.  Remember the PRC pilot who collided with the EP-3 in 2001?  Others have resulted in a/c being fired on, even shot down.

I once worked with a former F-106 pilot who flew these missions against Bears off the coast of Alaska. He had some very entertaining stories, everything from being toasted by smiling Russians with bottles of Coca Cola to Bear pilots who risked midairs rather give an inch in the air.

Top Gun.
Maverick: Started up on his six, when he pulled in through the clouds, and then I moved in above him.
Charlie: Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?
Maverick: Because I was inverted.
Iceman: [coughs whilst saying] Bullshit.
Goose: No, he was, man, it was a really great move.
Charlie: You were in a 4G inverted dive with a Mig 28?
Maverick: Yes, ma'am.
Charlie: At what range?
Maverick: Um, about two meters.
Goose: It was actually about one and a half I think. It was one and a half. I've got a great Polaroid of it, and he's right there, must be one and a half.
Maverick: It was a nice picture.
Goose: Thanks.
Charlie: Eh, lieutenant, what were you doing there?
Goose: Communicating.
Maverick: Communicating. Keeping up foreign relations. You know, giving him the bird?
Goose: [Extending his middle finger] You know, the finger!
Charlie: Yes, I know the finger, Goose.
Goose: Sorry. I hate when it does that.
Charlie: [to Maverick] So you're the one.
Maverick: Yes, ma'am

And Aviator sunglasses, leather jackets with fighter squadron patches affixed to them sell out across North America, and every group of guy friends rehearses and perfects the highfive followed by the windmill low-five move from the beach volleyball scene.
