Looks like a replay tonight. http://midnightinthedesert.com/rob-shelsky/

Heather needs to implement the one call per night policy. The 17 year old who keeps calling to talk about Hilary (how the pee bag feel out of her pants) sounds like he's in love with Heather.  So in addition to witch, we'll have to start calling her Mrs. Robinson.

Maybe, she'll try buying Facebook likes from high schools next? Anything to keep the ratings up; MITD got stickied again.  ;D

For an internet radio show, 527 live listeners is actually pretty good.  Especially if concurrent.

If being the operative word here.

Today's news events are so important that she is going to have a dialogue with her listeners about what's really going on with American today.

You mean, all 527 listeners?

I guess there's no guest tonight. http://midnightinthedesert.com/open-lines/

I could be wrong, but I figure maybe Art wrote a check for 12 months of bandwidth, etc. telling heather, " you're getting better every day dear, take this opportunity and run with it!"

I thought Art said he didn't have anything to do with it anymore? Yet, he does all those commercials, and promos. Who knows?

I think Heather needs a real tutor or classes, maybe both,  and a real professional producer if she is going to have any chance of regaining any listeners for this program.  Just IMO.

I can't see MITD reversing this trend; at this point it's damaged goods. Tutoring won't help Heather; again, I'm not being mean spirited.

I feel sorry for everyone involved, even Heather, if they have signed a long term contract. I would wonder if it isn't even embarrassing for Heather at this point. She must listen back to her shows.

Honestly, I don't feel sorry for them. The way this whole MITD debacle was handled; the dishonesty/ non transparency, was awful. They've probably burnt a lot of bridges, and lost a lot of credibility; with listeners, sponsors, etc. They only have themselves to blame. As Art says: "Carry on!"  :-\

Hi Luca! Great news, looking forward to your podcast.  :)

I wonder how accurate this MITD popularity chart is?

I guess buying the African likes, is an attempt at a "Hail Mary" play?  :o

So we're officially done with this show then?

I tune in if I think the guest has an interesting topic to discuss. I don't tune in for the present host. I'm not trying to be mean spirited here, just honest.

shocking news.

To Marzulli's credit, at least he came out and admitted it was a hoax. This whole thing started with Jaime Maussan. Although, he is a big player in ufology, he's not without controversy. He was the driving force behind the tiny alien body hoax awhile back.

Not Jerry Springer?  ;D

Pulitzer Prize worthy?  ;D

Maybe, a bit of controversy with tonight's guest: http://www.colinandrews.net/Crop-Circles-BLT-Wrong.html

The last couple of pages had a lively political discussion. I wonder if Heather's show tonight will get the same level of activity?  ???

But at least he is nice eye candy. We'll have Mr. or Mrs. Cryptkeeper scowling at us from our screens.

Hi TL! Canada has real issues that need addressing. We don't need an "eye candy"  Prime Minister. He seems too willing to take selfies, rather than face up to his respondsibilities. Then again, he was a drama teacher.  :(

Trust me it wasn't mine or any other clear thinking Canadian's either.  ;D

I'm not Canadian.  I live in New Hampshire.  Maybe I can emigrate to Canada when the elections are over.  I doubt I'll be satisfied no matter who wins.

I don't think you'd be satisfied with the knucklehead, we have in the Prime Minister's seat at present either.  :(

Yep. I think more people today believe in this stuff but when it happened in the late 80's and early 90's, it was very risky to come forward.

Yes, I would agree more people these days believe in ufos. Though, with Photoshop, CGI, etc., there are so many more instances of hoaxing. This is unfortunate because legitimate sightings can be lost, or discarded in all the junk.

It was a good show tonight, enjoyed it. Good night all!  :)

There was a huge controversy about these photos.  People did think it was possibly a hoax.  Ed Walters stands by his story.  Someone apparently planted a ufo model in Walter's basement and the powers that be found out.  It has been a while since I read the story.  Thing is the planted model was a very poor imitation of the object in the photographs. There were a lot of gaffes. Walters complained about Men In Black questioning him and there were all sorts of harassment by some agency. Thing is Walters would be the last person to make this shit up.  He had political aspirations and ran for the Gulf Breeze city council.  You can imagine the ramifications of this controversy on his political career.

It was brave of him to release these photos, given his political aspirations. His opponents must have had a field day with this. Is it any wonder why people are so hesitant to come forward about witnessing ufos.

Well, it is 20 years old so my guess is it isn't a drone.  Actually, it has a similar shape to that of the UFO's photographed during the Gulf Breeze sightings.

I've seen photos like this before, very interesting. Makes you wonder if they're ours, or something off world. Or, there is always the possibility of a hoax.

Yep.  I don't know if you are familiar with Bill Bean who has been a guest on Coast and MITD but I read his books detailing the grueling haunting he experienced as a child in the late 60's and 70's but he has had numerous ufo encounters and there does seem to be a link between ufo's and more spiritual beings.  Very odd.  You hear about Nordics who remind me of angels and then the Reptilians who seem to be very negative.  There is more work to be done.  I'd love to see Marzulli dig into this more.

I'm not really familiar with his story, but thank you for the heads up. I'll definitely look into his story; always nice to learn something new.

Somehow giants would link the two.

If I understand his theory correctly, ufo/aliens are the fallen angels. The giants  are the offspring of the fallen angels and human women. The fallen angels are masquerading as ufo/aliens, and are coming to earth, and continuing to mess with the human genome. The idea to make man in their own image, as it were.

Kathleen's story sounds similar to experiences with the demonic.

She stops short of making the ufo/demonic connection. L A Marzulli would have something to say about this.

I would go with the latter.  If you ever saw him on those shows, you'd agree.

It does amaze me how people like him; so narrow minded in their views, won't even accept tangible proof, or credible witnesses to open up their minds. This is defiantly ignorance, and borders on stupidity.

I doubt he was very concerned about the fate of the human race.  The man was a revolting piece of work.  Did you ever see him on the tv shows that he was on?  Larry King, Unsolved Mysteries and some daytime shows like Oprah?  He treated anyone who disagreed with him with contempt.

Only he would know what was the motivating factor in his debunking behaviour. Why was he so fervent in his trying to destroy, anyone daring to suggest we earthlings aren't alone? Was he honest in his belief in what he was doing, or was he just a jerk?

Phil Klass was a real bastard.  I remember whenever he would show up on shows that my Mom and I watched, my Mom would roll her eyes in contempt.  He's throw out these theories to explain away UFO sightings and they were usually far wackier than the alleged  sightings themselves.  My Mom was not a hateful person but she hated Phil Klass and I can't say that I felt much differently.

Maybe in his mind, he thought he was doing the right thing. With the Brookings report stating that basically, civilization would fall apart if the ufo phenomenon was admitted to. He may have thought it was his duty, to make sure that the public would never find out fore sure. Who knows?
