I remember when Art quit the show originally a lot of people, including I think Art, asserted that nobody with experience or other options would have been interested in taking over MITD. That was one of the reasons given for putting Heather in the host chair. Yet here we are over two years later, with the show presumably in a much weaker position, and Keith was able to quickly attract an experienced and busy host like Dave. I wonder if those initial assertions were never true and were just a justification for giving the show to someone without any credentials, or if only now with enough water under the bridge somebody with Dave's qualifications was willing to consider the role. Anyway, just something I was thinking about.  :)

I really enjoyed the show and would love to see it return. I would probably download it as a podcast most of the time but would listen live if possible. One show a month certainly sounds fair and the format you have proposed sounds good as well. I would try to donate when I can to help the show continue too. I hope the show does return!

Now that I know what is coming in July, I don't think that Dave has to worry too much about daylight saving time. I have a feeling that very soon he will be able to get to bed much earlier than he is used to. :)

I have no idea what is going on, but I'm very excited about how excited everyone is! For what it's worth, I'm very good at keeping secrets.  ;)

Here is a Time Travel question, if we were able to put together the silly amount of power it would require to send only one man back to the time of Jesus to observe the events of his life and then return to report the events without bias, who would you send and would you make it a Man of Science or a man of Faith?

Art

I think I would choose an author who is great at recounting historical events, someone like Gordon Wood or David McCullough. I think that they would not only objectively observe the events of the time, but also be able to recount them in vivid detail. I guess that would be a choice for a Man of Science, but my hope would be that they would just present the facts of what happened and let us draw our own conclusions.

All these visitors should get a login and Jump in! What is the worst that can happen? Loss of all dignity, self-esteem, all sense of right and wrong, wait, that's the best case.

Art

Ok, after being a long time lurker, I have decided to take Art's advice and jump in! Dignity, self-esteem, those are overrated anyway. This is an interesting place to say the least and I look forward to going for a ride with all of you regardless of what may come to pass in July. Thanks for the push Art!
