Quote from: albrecht on November 07, 2022, 08:32:21 PMThat was an amazing photo. I think my idea of a good documentary or biography would be a thing, however would have to be decades later. And likely, considering situation, in Mandarin and seriously censored. So take all the fun stuff out, or at least, track whoever had bought and seal them into a factory- with suicide nets- to make more phones or just die in a sealed up room. But, maybe with the proper editing and subtitles could still be a thing! I will go to some lunches and discuss, damn that traffic on Topanga Canyon, I'll be there in a few. Let's do this. I got some backers.

If a biography, who will play Rudy? And his estranged daughter and son who availed himself of "It's who you know". Would it be too salacious to bring up his cousin? And where would you pick it up? After 9/11? You need to get the booze sponsored too..product placement.

It's frankly laughable that you get all self righteous and disdainful of the lies you say I tell (but nothing to back it up, quelle surprise), yet your orange god and his disciples who lie as readily as breathing you give a pass to.. ;D

P.S. I'd do the same to the people who would do that if I could. ;)

Getting polio vaccine as a child is authoritarian? Or getting typhoid or yellow fever for certain countries is authoritarian? Or military getting about 17 different shots before overseas deployment is authoritarian?

Oh barbie...Now do the armed 'poll watchers' intimidating voters and voting centre workers, and the death threats to same. Forcing many to quit because in 'modern' America, 'conservativism' means adoring drump, going back at least 150 years and having a hissy if they lose. To get around that they gerrymander, and basically choose their voters, because voters choosing the representative is so pro democracy and anti drump.

Apropos nothing; Do the panel think Trump's derogatory nickname for the governor of FL at the rally in PA over the weekend and the barrage of negative comments from the right, and calls of 'fuck off' in the crowd towards drump may mean lack of support for the former POTUS if he runs for POTUS 2024?

And in other news Kari Lake, running in AZ...

Rumours flew round that Corbyn and Diane Abbot rekindled a fling he owned up to them having in 1979. But it does seem to be mainly Conservatives who delve..Boris Johnson has about six kids by four women, his current wife was his affair partner. And oddly, it's Conservatives who love to preach about family values and the family unit being sacrasanct.

Wasn't Newt Gingritch one such hypocrite? Trump? He fucked a porn actress 7 months after his wife gave birth.

I'm old enough to remember Gary Hart being dropped like a hot brick after he was outed.. I guess Conservatives have mellowed, with their own shit.

Quote from: K_Dubb on November 05, 2022, 01:56:01 PMI gather the summoning of the ambassador has already happened the promised fact blitz from the Russians has landed, and was pretty underwhelming.  News that Ukrainians have been sent all over Europe for training has been widespread, though, so I don't know what makes this special, the fleet they were using to blockade Ukrainian ports and send cruise missiles deep into the country is surely a legitimate military target.

https://www.rt.com/russia/565883-russia-summons-uk-ambassador/

As far as Nordstream, I did hear a story claiming that, in the hack of Liz Truss PM's phone, they recovered a message sent to Antony Blinken immediately after the Nordstream explosion saying "It's done" or something like that, but the bongs say the phone hack was discovered before that in the summer (the pipelines were blown up 9/26) and the phone was taken away from her and locked away in a safe in an evacuated empty building with no one allowed to touch it ever again which sounds a bit suspicious but that's the bongs for you.

Even if it were true, it is subject to the same problem as all hacked data,, from the wikileaks stuff to Hunter Biden's laptop to the Clinton emails, it is easy to insert invented stuff that people will assume is legit because the surrounding material is obviously authentic and salacious.

I think the Truss stuff is probably more salacious than texting official secrets. Loads of rumours abound including the phone isn't just in a safe, but that safe is inside another safe. But after curicular activities isn't a new thing in politics, lots of politicians have lost their seats after affairs have hit the headlines, some have survived.

Has she been one? Who knows. We'll never know. Maybe.

Quote from: K_Dubb on November 05, 2022, 02:27:42 PMHomeland Security Admits It Tried to Manufacture Fake Terrorists for Trump

Remember when DHS starts combing social media to find you and everyone you talked to of a similar mindset and snatching trumpkins off the streets into unmarked vans and disappearing them that you cheered it when it was your guy.

This is what the trumper cult don't grasp. At the moment in several states, they're having problems recruiting poll workers to volunteer because of death threats and other intimidation to those who have been forced to leave.

Sure, the reps may get the house and the Senate, but once there, Gym Jordan has already said his only job will be to impeach (insert name of anyone he decides), and not to represent his constituants. But he isn't alone, the rest of the GOP have similar aims. Stop women having a say in their own reproductive health, being interrogated after rape, incest/rape victims/children being made to carry to term even if they're ten years old. No answers to bring down gas prices, or deal with inflation, or mortgage/rent costs..nothing.
But what the trumpers will need to worry about is the unfettered power they unleash. Because after all the percieved enemies have been dealt with (including members of their family), the monster will go after them unless they comply, totally and absolutely. Right now, they don't believe it because they don't read books so don't understand history, and even less so novels..such as Animal Farm. They keep mentioning Orwell, but seldom the clues he laid out for humanity.

Interesting speculation. Unlikely of course (for starters how do they know?), and if it was SBS they wouldn't leave any evidence. Just Vlad trying to offset his navy's lack of defence or preparedness and have to admit Ukraine has the balls to do it.

Quote from: malachi.martini on November 03, 2022, 03:16:14 PM

Imagine agreeing this much with the most famous American Nazi, who correctly concluded that conservatives were entirely impudent and retarded(in the 1960s no less), but still being so deluded to perceive their long since crushed agency as any threat.

Never heard of him. But even a stopped clock is correct twice a day even if cow shit has stopped it. But interestingly the most Nazi sympathetic candidates are on the right..(Nazi salute photos of same supplied on request). The current (and recent past) Republican/Trump party hierarchy's entire raison d'ĂȘtre is exploiting paranoia, anger (could be pointing at clouds and yelling), self delusion, using the hard of thinking; and self fulfillment. They know that certain phrases, trigger words, will press certain buttons, truth/lies? Truth is for the weak, eh? All that matters is power, not the good of the nation.

Their closing argument to garner support for next tuesday is inflation/gas prices, crime, and denying that the 2020 elections were valid. That's it. The Wisconson Rep governor candidate has actually said that if he gets elected there will always be a Rep governor from that day on. Presumably because he'll ensure the vote counters are terrorised into making sure he is.

So what exactly do the Reps have to tackle inflation/gas prices, and crime? Well, nothing, because they know and aren't telling their voters that oil prices are decided by oil companies. All over the world. Inflation? Again, 54% of cost increases for you and me is price gouging profits by the big corporations. And just to show I'm not picking on the US, it's currently 10% in the UK and rising.
So what does the Rep answer to that going to be? Oh yeah, if they get the majority, give corporations tax breaks! So inflation will still be high as will gas prices..Crime? Hmm, been going up since drump was in the WH, and interestingly the biggest crime figure increases are ...(You guessed it) in red states!  So what are the Rep Govs going to do about that? Vote themselves out?

QuoteSo this conservative monster told all of his retards to do exactly what you did and probably advocated vigorously for, curious.

He said it once on stage. Never again. I think he was with disgraced Bill O'Reilly when he said it.. A few mutterings from the audience which he tried his usual outstretched arm and flat hand to shhh them up. He may have said it at a rally but that is the sum total of his 'advocacy' for vaccinations. To call drump vigorous in anything is a bit funny, because I cannot imagine that guy putting effort into anything that wasn't to enrich him.

Defamation suit strikes again.  Public figures are famously vulnerable to defamation but bomb-throwers can not get away with lying about the regular folks, especially when the bomb-throwers' listeners are nasty gurn-totin goobers who run their fat mouths with empty threats.

Significantly, this is the second federal judge to acknowledge a greater conspiracy involving Trumpykins and Giuliani, which we all know happened anyway but is notoriously difficult to prove in court and yet, there it is:

I see drump loyalist Kash Patel has taken a deep inhalation of the coffee and has, under condition of prosecution immunity, agreed to once again appear in front of the grand jury regarding drumps theft of documents. Only this time instead of taking the 5th multiple times ("Only guilty people/mobsters take the 5th- DJT.who took it 400 times) he'll tell all he knows. Presumably he might not repeat his claims drump declassified docs simply by imagining they were. We'll see.
