Who is this Bob Givens?
(nm- must have been an old repeat on the stream I was hooked into)

Hard to ignore those haunting eyes. But on topic,  I could not resist noting this sentence in that link above,  pointing to that archived explanation of Art's complaint:

' Stephens went on to defame Bell further, claiming that he was involved in various "dark matters" related to "the militia movement." Stephens also claimed that, in general, Bell acts with "dark malice.

So my question is,  is Art's new show's name just another stab in this old wound?

Hmmmmmmm.......

So is anyone planning on taping Dark Matter, and making it available somewhere?  Not that I am condoning or sanctifying  such an endeavor. I have not pahrumped the TOS @ SiriusXM (excuse me,  perused), but there may be some wiggle room. (I accept all PM's) :)

Radio and Podcasts / Re: George Knapp interview with Art

Wonder if he ever came to a conclusion about the antenna's ghost voltage readings... (Well that's what I call them.)

I've called and gotten through. Can't remember who Art was interviewing. Always thought there should be a forum created around C2C callers, tiered access for those who could prove they were on the show. Then perhaps it could be a safe way to attempt connecting with certain callers.... especially those that George missed the boat with, cutting them off at a key moment - since he rarely listens to what people are saying. He has dropped the ball so many times, it really is sad.... oops sorry choir.

Random Topics / chumlee?

Was that last caller Chumlee from Pawn Stars? It sounded so much like him. I am gonna have to find an email address, cuz that just had to be him. :)

I heard that broadcast live, but my level of focus was on other things, so it went right past me. I remember following along the guys story, until something tipped me that he was exaggerating somehow. I doubt I would have made the connection anyway.

I suppose that could have been what he was referring to, but the guy seemed to be talking of something more recent. That was last year, so the guy was really dragging it out. Maybe he only recently heard about it, but....

Archive of Old Threads / what was he talking about?
June 01, 2009, 04:32:45 PM
Anyone catch that caller, late in the show last night, who offered his condolences for Art Bell's loss? What??? Art Bell's loss? Was this guy some kind of time traveler? I swear I heard him say, he was sorry to hear of Art Bell's loss. I can find no reference anywhere on C2C's website to any kind of tradegy. Anyone know more than I?

George never asks the confrontational questions, nor rarely an intuitively inspired question, because he rarely asks a question of his own. Every guest, sans RCH, LMH, and such, sends in a list of 20 questions they would like to be asked, and George bases his script from that. He handles the niceties, and the filler, and ad-libs the core content of the question (occasionally), but he generally follows it down the page. Listen to him, you can hear him do it. Why do you think his questions come from nowhere, and quite often address the issue the guest just finished speaking about. He does not really listen, often enough, and rarely does a conversation take place.....

but then out of the blue, some random subject will catch his attention, and what do you know... I smile. I just wish he could pull that 'out his arse' about every ten minutes, rather than every two weeks (yes... Im being a bit generous, I know).

I think his biggest problem, is that he has a warped, perhaps even sick sense of humor. When he is winging it, it can peep in, and sometimes grabs the show from him. He knows this, and so has to walk a fine line, and that limits the show. It is natural to want to be funny, to pull people in that direction, but if you are hiding a sick, lonely monster in your closet..... well it gets tricky. Sucks for us, sucks for him, but he fights the good fight 99.5% of the time, so most do not see this side of him.

but I do

Ahhh...:) some see the light... (well, one, so far).

I think it all turned around for me when I heard that show where Ian sat patiently, quietly, letting some guest do his whole spiel, because the guest had asked that he be allowed to direct his own thoughts, and if there were still questions, then no one should listen to him, because he failed at his task. Well Ian let the guy talk, then quickly let him exit the show. Ian explained why, after he came back from the break - how he was vaguely insulted, and well, blah blah bla... anyway, somewhere in there he explained about how the guests were asked to send in 20 questions they would like to be asked....

Thats when it all fell in place for me. Yes, I am a dumbass sometimes, and should have picked up on how george ran his show. Once I knew about how he formatted his actions, I started looking at the show differently, listening a bit differently.

I may get into this deeper somewhere else on the board, but I figured I'd show my true colors first, so a handful of you could start preparing the fire pit, and sharpening those spits.:)

I am pretty sure I have all of 2K5 in mp3, files direct from streamlink download. If you want to listen to the whole month again.....:) If you just want a specific date....that could be worked out too. I wish I could remember hearing that, and might if I heard it again... I am sure I was listening, but I don't recall hearing the gist of any of your description. contact me if you like:)

Well here I go, about to ruffle feathers. You have been warned:) I, like everyone drawn to this site, and posting in this thread, have had to deal with the troubling tone/direction/inadequacy of C2C since GN took over the reigns. I have spent far too many nights literally screaming to the universe in anger/despair at the ineptitude of the show....all in comparison to the gift we had ....before GN took over the helm. All said though, the bottom line is, (and this is what is not openly investigated by the show these days, hence the problems we collectively have with the show) there is something deeper going on in this universe we are experiencing.... and the key word in all of this is "openly". I think GN does tap into this.... but DAMN!! You really have to have some powers of perception to key into it.

Sometime back, I could have written every post in this thread, and part of me still wallows there, but GN has put me in my place more than once now. I'd almost say that GN will lead you down the path of hatred for him, just so he can sit you on his knee, while you are shaking in bitter anger, and then gently explain just what "all the world's a stage" truly means.

I really feel that the core jewel that C2C openly displayed for many years, has just been hidden away from those who would destroy it, under a cloak in the disguise of a bumbling idiot.... and in truth, it is still there for all to see, hidden in plain site. GN is using the illuminti's own game plan, and doing it so well, he does not even recognize it himself..... but I'd bet someone at Premiere does, hence why GN was chosen.

Friday nights are still a bit hard to stomache sometimes... but I generally find a moment that I am glad I did not miss. I kinda miss screaming at George through the "wireless internet":)

and please, let's not stone the messenger....I've obviously been stoned one too many times...right?:)

when he faux pas'd "shroud of turin", as yes...you can guess, "shroud of urine"... :) SO DAMN FUNNY!!! I missed his apology after the break, so I'll have to go find a clip of it.
