Ach, these poor misguided Jewish boys trapped in the old ways of bullsheet. They just want to get the Hell out of Dodge.
All the High and Mighty elders feed them is religious CRAP! And endless guilt for no reason but Old farts control. If I lived near there I'd  rent a few party buses and  load the boys up and take them to the nearest Six Flags!  :D ;) 8) And have videos of Comedy Central
"The Man Show" showing on the screens on the ceiling.

The great part was that the Dept. of Homeland inSecurity ordered that Police/Fire Departments had to upgrade to digital Encoded Radios. There was money from the DHLS, but a lot of departments couldn't talk to each other anymore so they went back to their trusty old Motorolas. There was confusion for a few years, but then it was appropriated else where. So even some big companies that are contracted for Dept of Defense are using their old $100 cheapies. Really great to hear when a truckload of armored parts delivered to a truck builder reads off the number of parts and how many. Geez might as well do the  M*A*S*H " 5 0'Clock Charlie" routine in the parking lot!

Thousand sold all over the USA, used for good and bad. Special Events, 1st Responders in little hick towns that can't afford $900 Motorola Digital 2-way Radios. My Dad was a Radioman in the Navy, and worked as a TV and Radio Broadcast engineer for 50yrs. I learned how to handle radio communication properly.

For some of the Tracfones that can get wifi usually will have a slot behind the battery has a MicroSD card. That's how I download C2C and the Bob & Tom show on my phone. If your near a Big lots or even a Family Dollar will have 16GB MicroSD card. You can download Mp3 files, 3GPP video files. I have a couple of old Sanyo Incognito clamshell phones. The nice thing there is a full backlit keyboard that you can use to rename files, and decent sized screen in full color. I use my SD/MicroSD adapter to download from my PC onto the micro card.
Some Tracfones can even plug into a computer to load files directly.
And use Xnview software to shrink down pic files to fit the screen. And Baofeng Radios are handy for first responders and special events. Plus the built in FM radio with digital display.

Just found this on Wired.com,  "And in the mid-2000s, a start-up called Excalibur Almaz bought a capsule that flew to secret Russian military space stations during the Cold War. The company planned to use the spacecraft for tourist flights around the moon, although it ran out of money long before it was ready to launch."
Holy Frosted Flakes Batman! So Richard C. Hougie Sandwich wasn't as crazy as we thought!

Geez Louise, the same old, "We've found the Ark of the Convent" crap ::). Same old song and dance. If the current government of Israel found it and has it, it's very tightly locked away. Gotta hide it where the Muslims can't get to it. Tell it to the few survivors that were at Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen. No God of the Bible rescued them for that Hell, No Magic Torah or Scrolls protected them either. :-[

Well a friend of mine who retired from LVMPD as a Det. Sgt. went on a journey to find Art's final resting place. With some of the special Hi-Fi listening equipment that the cops use. He let me know that Art's remains are spinning a little over 2000 RPM's when Heather is on the air!

Hello Art!
well me being an old USCG sailor I remember the olde timey radar units we had on the surplus Navy ships.
Old Seaplane tenders converted over to Medium endurance cutters. With the old tube powered Radar units.
One day we were re-calibrating sea search radar, a Senior Chief was standing a little to close to the emitter.
I told him, "Chief, might wanna move over abit or your nuts are gonna fry!" He replied,  "Hell I've got 5 kids already, fry away, I don't need any more!"
But with what's happening in the East Pacific I think that some of our on again, off again friends have figured out a way to deactivate,
or reduce the power on the radar, or other electrical systems on the new destroyers. 1 or 2 ships is a glitch, 4 ships are a plan.

Fox News recently flew out to the USS George H.W. Bush 40 miles off the coast of North Carolina to see the crew's final tuneup.

With jets landing every 60 seconds, the flight deck crew worked on getting the time between “traps” (landings) down to 40 seconds.

Aboard the ship, 18- to 22-year-old men and women work 14 hour days on the flight deck, with little rest -- all this before deploying and potentially dropping live rounds on ISIS.

“This is the military equivalent of spring training, because once we complete this at the end of December, then we'll be going forward and it'll be real forces that we'll be going flying with and against,” said Rear Adm. Kenneth Whitesell, commander, Carrier Strike 2, interviewed on his perch above the four-acre flight deck known as “Vulture's Row.”

Ok Juan I consider 40 miles off the coast "At Sea" Plus you noticed also in the article that they don't report exactly when the ships go out. Also You don't consider the new U.S.S. Green Bay and the new U.S.S. Bonn Home Richard carriers because they don't have catapults.
But the do have Harrier strike aircraft. So I'm splitting hairs here. But as soon as that certain "Community Organizer in Chief" gets out of town and a ballsy President  and a strong defense minded Congress gets down to business there will be more money for the Navy and it's plan for needed ships and aircraft. Kinda sad tho isn't. Millions for highways to nowhere and fancy artwork on the new bridges on the highway overpasses. But the Navy and Marines are flying aircraft form the Operation Desert Storm era!

It won't be us.  For the first time since WWII we don't have a single carrier at sea.

Juan I don't know what brand of generic Kool-Aid you are drinking but we do have carriers at sea on patrol right now.
Maybe they just aren't disclosing there current deployments right now. That's well and good, keep the bad guys guessing.
I work for a big defense contractor. I served in the Coast Guard, my dad served on the the Hancock, my stepdad served on the
Bon Homme Richard and my Uncle Served on the Missouri during Korea. They maybe docked at foreign ports for some holiday shore leave
But the can get underway very fast if needed!

Yes I totally agree. My Dad was a Ham Radio operator before I was born. Then a radioman in the Navy for a 4 year hitch.
When I was younger I used to listen to the ham bands on my Monkey Wards multiband radio. But these days with the Ham Bands and the GMRS/FRS radios it nothing but derps and A$$holes on them. One contractor I work for is a Defense supplier. They were using GMRS walkies in the plant. I told the site supervisor that little kids are on our channels, and she stated she didn't care because the radios were cheap. And the poor FCC  field agents and the DOD liaisons are overworked as is.
Just wait, in 10 years these nuts will be jacking Hyper Burst Data Transmissions!
Quote from Lt. Uhura;
Last week I caught the last 20 min or so of a SW show featuring two old Ham radio guys. They were discussing how people have become so mean and nasty on some of the bands that many of the old timers have quit--like "Art Bell", who they said was so disgusted with the foul language and hatefulness he's taken a break from ham radio.

I've never been a ham radio operator but have known several, and they were among the nicest people I've ever known.  In fact the history of ham radio is based upon networking and emergency communications during power outages and disasters, so it's especially sad to hear that ham has gone the way of the Internet, with people trolling/flaming one another over the radio.  smh...

Remember Chaps across the pond, You have Queen Elizabeth II who rarely goes on the Wireless and usually shares good news and Holiday wishes :D. And sometimes rides about in a classy carriage. Dear Sweet old Lady.
Versus over here we have Queen Heather who goes on the radio 5 nights a week and cackles like an old hen :o >:( and rides a broom!

Here's some words of wisdom for you comment posting idiots. You people think your opinions are so important and that you possess some natural-born expertise. But take it from ME, a REAL expert, when I say your comments are even more stupider than you people making them. Now I have a lot of experience, so when I say something, it counts. That's because I'm very important and I know what I'm talking about, unlike feeble-minded you. I see you want to retort by posting a reply, do you? PSHAW!!! You can't post a reply to me because you're speechless, and you're too AFRAID. Besides, no one wants to hear your stupidness anyway.

Do you know who I am? I have 9 black belts, 15 Masters degrees and a PhD in Arithmetic. That's right, you know I'm way better than you, and my legions of admiring followers will all proudly tell you just how great and awesome I truly am! Have you seen my power level? It's over 9000! You know what that means? It means I have more than 9000 units of POWER. It also puts my total adjusted force rating at 22000! That's more than triple, so you don't want to make me mad, because anger is my middle name, and when I get angry I cause earthquacks as I stomp forth with full power, so beware my indignation.

Remember: He who laughs last, laughs last.
I can see you now, trembling with fear and trepidation as you try to muster the courage to write a reply to my comment. But let's face it, you wouldn't DARE write a reply to my comment because you're all too AFRAID.
Gee Bobo's found a new soapbox to PREECH from! :o ::)
