Radio and Podcasts / Missing Richard Simmons
March 02, 2017, 09:20:49 PM
Just thought I'd throw it out here in case anyone else is into this one. Richard Simmons hasn't been seen or heard from for something like four years. This podcast guy is on a quest to unravel the mystery.

Maybe it was an alien abduction. If so, unfortunately for Richard, not everyone gets probed ... or so I've heard.

Anyhoo, I love this podcast. I never thought I'd spend so much time pondering the whereabouts of Richard Simmons.

WHERE ARE YOU, RICHARD??

Random Topics / ASMR (aka ear porn)
February 20, 2017, 08:25:55 PM
Hell, I just figured a forum like this one needed an ASMR thread. I'm sure it'll be me and a cricket.

I'm not one of those ASMR fanatics but I fell down that rabbit hole last weekend when I was searching for soothing anti-insomnia videos on YouTube. Then suddenly I got sucked into watching a bunch of ASMR videos and just gaped in fascination.

HERE'S THE THING THOUGH: I watched one of them where this ASMR chick was talking about how she got into it. She goes, "I was introduced to it by a guy named Casio Darkmoon over on Godlike Productions." SHEEEEZUS, he's everywhere!!

I'm now a fan of a few ASMRtists (and picking up the lingo, GOD HELP ME!), particularly Dr. Tingles ASMR and a sexy guy named Marco ASMR, who can do more with his mouth than most guys can do with all their other things ... and yeah, mainly because they give me tingles elsewhere. ;) These people who insist that ASMR isn't kinky ear porn are bullsh*tters.

John B. Wells would be the king of ASMRtists.  ;)

I have to get back to work.

Hey, does anyone have any Malachi Martin shows (but not in torrent form) besides Art's first interview with him? He WAS on more than once, right? I have the first one and it had a profound effect on me. Would love to hear any other shows with him. I haven't checked YouTube yet — I was hoping someone had something they could upload and share.

Paranormal - Conspiracy - UFOs - Etc. / Ouija Boards
January 15, 2014, 02:58:02 PM
Have any of you ever used one and had something frightening happen? We played with one a lot when we were kids â€" in a dark basement, nonetheless â€" and it usually just went like this:

"OK, I'll play, but you have to swear you won't move it."
"I swear. You have to swear too."
"I'm not going to move it, I swear!"
"OK. Here we go . . . Are there any spirits in this room with us?"
"Yes, are there any spirits in this room with us?"
"Are there any spirits who want to say something?"
"If there are any spirits here, what's your name?"

The planchette moves to B-O-B.

"YOU'RE MOVING IT!!"
"NO I'M NOT -- YOU'RE MOVING IT!"
"I SAW YOU MOVE IT. THAT'S WHY I DON'T PLAY THIS STUPID GAME WITH YOU!"
"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO MOVED IT AND I'M TELLING MOM!"

**we wander off to go get popsicles and watch Tom & Jerry or something**

So anyhoo, I've been struggling a lot with my faith lately. Borderline atheist and all that. And I've been thinking, if I can't definitively prove the existence of God, I'd settle for proving the existence of the demonic. Because in my book, if you prove the existence of one, by default you prove the existence of the other. That's why I love listening to this old Father Malachi Martin show. He makes me believe for five minutes (four hours).

So all this stuff about Art having something traumatic happen when he used a Ouija board â€"â€" so traumatic he won't talk about it -- and Gnoory being too scared to play with one on air â€" well, both of them suck. I'll believe it when I see it.

Hell, they sell the things at the Toys R Us right down the street. I told my brothers (34 and 38) that I was gonna go get one and I wanted one of them to try it with me, and they both said, "Uh uh. Hell no. Not me. No way." I reminded them that we had one as a kid and we're all fine (well, except me, who's unemployed and living in my childhood bedroom), and they were still like, "there's no way I'm using one of those things. Nope."

I don't believe they open a door to evil. I don't believe they're useful tools for communicating with the dead. I don't believe they do a damn thing. In fact, I don't believe in anything anymore. Well, except for the healing powers of turmeric. That's it.

So that was my long-ass way of asking you guys if anything weird has ever happened to you with a Ouija board (and please for the love of God, don't pronounce it "wee-jee"), and also, if someone asked you to use one, would you be game for it or would you yield to the superstition and chicken out?  :D

Why am I watching this show? When did my life officially plummet to such depths? Is this what hitting bottom is?
