Paranormal - Conspiracy - UFOs - Etc. / Bugs bigfoot map
December 09, 2019, 07:47:38 PM
I genuinely dont think art lied on his show and just let people spew nonsense buy the buggs map I think was legit bs. Art always said that he wouldn't reveal the map cause of legal trouble buggs might get in. Once buggs died again art had the map mentioned it but instead of giving it to an investigator he again hid behind buggs and legal trouble citing buggs family. Wtf does his family have to do with anything? The it was just such a sorry excuse. We heard little of the map too.

Glad MV brought it back. I didn't feel like finding my stonehenge avatar again, and I coincidentally starting listening to Art Bell's archive again!  I lost the archive but got it again and subed to coast insider to record the newer somewhere in time shows that weren't on there.
Long live Art Bell, AB for life, give me art bell or give me death.

Anyone else into podcasts where people play dungeons and dragons? I started with listening to Acquisitions Incorporated then discovered the adventure zone which are both awesome, the adventure zone more so, a very solid story with a ton of laughs. These podcasts replaced a lot of paranormal radio fantasy needs.

Because I love the whole Cydonia/ancient civilization on mars stuff But I hate when RCH rambles on endlessly about NASA conspiracies I edited 8 years of Cydonia shows into ten hours. Youtube decided that having part of a paul simon bumper music was enough to take it down so I'll just post it here I guess. effing youtube.

enjoy!

Name any and all.

RC Hoagland, in 1998 said that the face on Mars was a human face with one side in ruins and that you could see inside the structure, showing clear shapes that make it artificial

In 2002 He said that half of the face was human and the other side was a lion face and this somehow meant something.

SO which is it? A ruin or a lion?

In the big archive there is only the first 30 minutes of this show with Hoagland. Now I see someone somehow got all the whole show as well as the classic Mojave call! enjoy

What if trump had vetoed a bill that allowed 9/11 families to sue Saudi Arabia for the 911 attacks? Can you imagine the shit storm? It would be insane. And yet Obama got NO scrutiny whatsoever in the media for vetoing this bill. Aside from right wing talkers, did anyone in the media criticize Obama? I didn't hear anything from CNN, MSNBC, ABC ect.

People should have been protesting in the streets when Obama did this but nope not a word.

Before you remind me of all the dumb shit he's said over the years I am merely talking about Cydonia and the face on mars. THATS IT. Let's just focus on the face on mars and Cydonia.

That thing still looks like a face on one side. Those pyramids still look artificial. They are on an empty plain and impossible to see on google mars. I still think we should drop a probe down there and see whats what.

Really is there any reason NASA won't look at it? Why not? Yeah there's a good chance they aren't ruins but wtf mine as well find out. I know Richard would still believe Cydonia no matter what but I for one would be satisfied with a ground mission.

I am not a fan of Trump or Hillary, let me just say that outright. To discuss why I dislike both of them would take too long and has nothing to do with my post. I just want to put that out there so people don't freak out and say I love trump, even though I don't. I voted third party out of protest for two horribly flawed candidates.

Now that that's out of the way lets assume the Russians did hack the DNC (I'm still not convinced but it makes no difference) all they did was essentially what Snowden did and show the world that the DNC is a racist undemocratic organization (the elites anyway) who control the media to take down Hillary's rivals. We know this is true because Donna Brazile was fired for leaking questions to Hillary so there's more evidence of media interference. You know who controls the media to get what they want? Dictators.

So instead of saying wow the DNC is corrupt and needs to be radically changed, the Clintons blame russia to the point where they are basically trying to bring about WW III. Remember when liberals were arguing that Snowden helped us by letting us know our government is corrupt and doing illegal things to its citizens? What makes this any different?

Why shouldn't the DNC hacks affect the election? They were true and also what EVERY Bernie or Trump supporter was saying, that the media was all in for Hillary. It was so obvious that the leaks just confirmed it.

Why are we also assuming that the endless anti-trump stories had no affect on the election? MSNBC and CNN ran them nonstop but those we are suppose to think had no impact?

Wtf happened to real liberals who want fair elections and not bias controlled media as well as a peaceful world? The Neo-libs are now neo-mccarthyists who want to blame all their troubles on russia instead of their unlikable failure of a candidate.

Politics / Trumps Transition team thread
November 26, 2016, 10:17:43 PM
Just a general thread about trumps transition team and who they'll choose and why

the current team according to wiki is

The Trump transition team is led by Vice President-elect Mike Pence, who plans to remain governor of Indiana until his term ends on January 9, 2017. It has six vice-chairs, including former transition head Chris Christie, Ben Carson, Newt Gingrich, Michael Flynn, Rudy Giuliani and Jeff Sessions.

The transition team also has an Executive Committee which includes:

Steve Bannon, Trump campaign CEO; named Counselor to the President on November 13
    Rep. Lou Barletta
    Rep. Marsha Blackburn
    Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi
    Rep. Chris Collins
Jared Kushner the husband of Ivanka Trump and owner of the New York Observer
    Rep. Tom Marino
Rebekah Mercer â€" director of the Mercer Family Foundation and daughter of major Trump donor Robert Mercer.
Steven Mnuchin â€" banker at Goldman Sachs, investor in OneWest bank, finance chair of Trump's presidential campaign
    Rep. Devin Nunes
Reince Priebus â€" Republican National Committee chairman; named White House Chief of Staff on November 13
Anthony Scaramucci â€" Hedge-fund manager and founder of investment firm SkyBridge Capital
Peter Thiel â€" Co-founder of PayPal, president of Clarium Capital, a managing partner in Founders Fund, co-founder and investment committee chair of Mithril Capital Management, co-founder and chairman of Valar Ventures, and co-founder and chairman of Palantir, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, hedge fund manager, and author.[65]
    Donald Trump Jr.
    Eric Trump
    Ivanka Trump

Some things I found interesting about it is that this transition team is literally the first Government job Ben Carson has ever held. The same is true for Trumps kids.

Given that Trumps kids will also be running the foundation, I'm not sure how they can avoid a conflict of interest here. Being on the Transition team gives them access to some of the highest government inside information so not sure how they are allowed to be on the team.

The whole question of conflicts of interests with the trump organization in general is just a big ass clusterfuck.

Then there was the Christie 'purge' where he was fired as head of the team, but I guess according to this he is still there so must not have been a big deal.

Listening to a lot of old Hoagland shows and I came across what I believe is the point where Hoagland looses any credibility.

We all know Hoagland is crazy but he at least was articulate with his crazy ideas. This show on the archive I highly recommend a listening if you want to hear Hoagland just fall apart

2002-09-05 - Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell - Richard C. Hoagland - Cydonia Region Of Mars

Hoagland and another guy get infrared stuff from the internet of a city under Cydonia. At first Art loved it and was impressed but as time goes on and Art questions where these images came from it becomes clear that they got it from someone online in a chat room, a real valid source  ::) Art keeps on how random chat rooms on the internet are not valid sources and Hoagland breaks down on air and ends up just begging for money for the Enterprise Mission, blaming his shitty science and lack of investigations on money. It was really sad to hear actually Hoagland sounded like he was about to cry.

I think this is where Hoagland lost his grip on reality. No longer looking at real NASA stuff or just getting their information from random internet people.

Vote and we'll count up the total when the thread dies

I thought hard about this one and although I love EVP and Ghost to ghost shows but, overall I think UFOs are more interesting, a lot for sci fi kooks associated with UFOs make it more fun. Ancient Aliens is another thing that pushes UFOs over the edge for me. Connecting ancient sites and gods with spacemen is just good fun. I think Long John Nebel shows also made UFOs (or flying saucers as he loved to call them) more interesting to me. And who could forget weeber and other crazy abduction stories?

1st vote for UFOs

Art Bell is gone, barely on bellgab (I think haven't looked in a while) and he's off the air for good, maybe even dying of cancer.

Pretty much all the best of Art Bell shows are on the archive. All of the somewhere in time shows they play that are new (well new as in not in the archive) are from 1996 and mainly about the 96 election. When I think of classic awesome art bell shows the 96 election and Bob Dole are the last on my list.

here are mine roughly in order based on how I feel right now

All time favorite shows
C2C/Dreamland/Dark Matter/MITD w/ Art Bell (obviously)
No Agenda

Favorite shows
All Things Considered/Morning Edition (are basically the same show. In particular news stories about space and environment)
Mysterious Universe
Radiolab (I'm a pretty new listener but already I look forward to it every monday
Long John Nebel (would be higher if there were more shows available)
Travel with Rick Steve's (Great show that touches on history and culture)
Howard Stern show (used to love it but really has gone down hill)

Shows I enjoy here and now
Living on Earth (starting to get into it might fall down the list)
Talk of the Nation (mainly older shows)
Monster Talk
Fresh Air (a real hit and miss depending on the topic)
Listen with the Lights on (a local folklore/paranormal show on WAMC)

Shows I listen to just because their on
Sean Hannity
Democray Now!
Mark Levin (starting to like him more)
Rush Limbaugh
(all of these shows I listen to mainly because I hate clinton and the media isnt covering all her nonsense. After the election season not sure if I'll still be listening)
Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis (I fall asleep to it, but rarely listen to the whole show. Have a few old shows downloaded and they're okay but really just fun paranormal show to fall asleep to and nothing more)
C2C w. Noory or any other host

Shows I was into which might eventually get into the other lists again
Radio Trainwreck (no new shows ever)
Paracast (on par paranormal show, the michael horn show was great, he was royally owned. Not much more to keep me interested)
Unexplained with Howard Hughes (basically the same as art bell but less interesting)
Originz/ Mysteries Abound (no new shows)

Anyone else a huge NPR fan but unfortunately live in the northeast and have to hear the cunt Alan Shartock every fuckin day? NPR has some awesome shows, Morning Edition, All things considered (depends on the stories but usually pretty good), Radiolab, TED radio hour, Fresh Air, The Moth ex.

Unfortunately a huge block of the workday is filled with crappy local programs roundtable(rosemay is ultimate Hillary shill),voxpop ect. which all have Shartock sticking his face in everything.

Now I gotta say I don't really disagree with Shartock that much politically that much we both voted for Bernie but once I learned that he was the president of the station and not just some random commentator (the ONLY political commentator on usually) it becomes clear just how bias his station is and how everything plays to his point of view. Every morning he basically says republicans are evil kucks and are the problem with everything in America. I don't like the Republicans or the Democrats but who cares about your opinion? Your suppose to be non bias and he doesn't even try. If you want to be a political commentator fine but at least have someone on who disagrees with you and will tell the other side (which he rarely does). Everyone on the roundtable has the same opinion about everything basically.

Like most of the media he hates trump. I don't like trump and would never vote for him but I like a nonbias media which is not at all what we have this election. Bernie's huge crowds were ignored because the media was for clinton so its not just a left bias its a elitist left bias. Shartock may be the most annoying on Trump, constantly insinuating that trump WILL become a dictator. Just fuck off already and try and have some balance in your programs.

Technology / Shortwave radio thread
August 20, 2016, 12:36:20 AM
Couldn't find a general thread about shortwave radio (didnt look very hard) so I'll go ahead and make one. Whats the best thing you heard/listen to on shortwave? I just got into listening to shortwave and wondering what the best radio is?

I have this as my main SW radio
https://www.amazon.com/Niceshop%C2%AE-SY-X5-Technology-Demodulating-Portable/dp/B00OCGANY6

I really like the analogue dial and that it can play MP3s but now Im thinking of getting into a digital display one. A few things I listen to are china international radio, Romania internal and WWV to hear space news (18 past the hour its hard to hear sometimes). What I really want is to hear Airtraffic control since I live near an airport so it shouldnt be that hard.

Which Am do you think its referring too?

In an old Ghost to ghost (94 maybe?) Art mentioned how on one holloween a witch called and gave out information so personal he had to bleep it off the air. It was the same witch that gave him the infamous oujia board. Anyone know where to find a copy of this incident? Its not G2G 93 and thats as far back as it goes. Would be great to dig up such a talked about C2c event.

anyone know any?

?? A lot of them have the AUX thing which allows me to play my MP3 player but is there some radio where I can just load up my talk radio MP3's and just stick the card in and listen on the radio itself?
#25
Anyone else an avid listener to NPR and these two shows in particular? Unfortunately they make it hard to download them and don't put them on itunes so you have to download each story separately then merge the files. I did find some old Morning Editions which I found interesting

https://archive.org/details/npr-talk-of-the-nation

Still looking for older All Things Considered shows.

Radio and Podcasts / Travel with Rick Steve's
July 03, 2016, 08:57:39 AM
The guy who writes all these travel books has been doing a podcast for a while now. It's really good for anyone interest in History, Culture and travel. It doesn't come across as a borning how to travel podcast and his guests get deep into history of different areas and culture differences.

For someone like he who loves history and in particular older buildings this is a perfect podcast. The episodes about Wales and the awesome Castles in Europe are my favorites. There's even an episode about Haunted places to visit with callers telling their experiences, it was almost a Ghost to Ghost!
